BIG GREEN: ‘Climate Change’ is Socialism’s Not-So-Subtle Tactic to Destroy Capitalism
Since the 1970’s the liberals have employed an unusual strategy for destroying out free market economy. It isn’t their only bizarre tactic, but it is one that baffles this scientist. Actually the part that baffles me is that the American public pretty easily embraces this one since they assume they can’t understand science. But, I don’t think you even need to understand science to reject this leftist ideology given that logic should put this one to rest pretty easily.
The other week, I heard the local news pop up this scientific stat that July 2016 was the hottest month on record since NOAH, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, started recording global temperatures 137 years ago. This is, of course, a huge sign of “global warming” and thus suitable reason to clamp down on businesses and industries, all over the world and especially the US, who they even suspect might be making a profit and causing said “global warming”. (Don’t get me wrong. I am completely in favor of managing and protecting our environment. It is our responsibility to care for our planet, and we should do so with excellence.) How can they even make such a conclusion? This conclusion and the whole climate change agenda has a couple of gaping holes that I can see.
First, let me address this simple statistic from July. While it is true that it was the hottest month on record during the last 137 years, how can that possibly be an indication of anything? Given that most climate change advocates would also consider themselves evolutionists, this one month is a millionth of a pin prick of a picture of what our climate has been since the earth’s inception. If evolution (which I am sure you can guess I don’t buy) is a reality, then how do they know that we aren’t on a global cooling trend and this is just a small blip up these last few years?
My second issue with this kind of liberal propaganda that seeks to limit free market growth is they change their tune to suite their agenda rather than represent science. In the 1970’s politicians were pushing a “global cooling” rhetoric. A few decades later the science didn’t support that idea so the left quickly changed their tune to sing the song of “global warming”. The more that idea was challenged, the more the public began to hear the term “climate change” because who can argue with that term since, naturally, the climate of our planet is always changing.
The reality is that “climate change” is little more than a liberal tactic to keep capitalism in check since they view it as the enemy. See, you don’t have to be a scientist to understand the plan. We just need a little common sense.
