BOMBSHELL: Comey Says It Wasn’t The FBI That Gave Cheryl Mills IMMUNITY, It Was…

WHOA NELLY! Comey testifies before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and is GRILLED about the many immunity deals handed out related to Hillary’s emails and private server. He had A LOT to say, including this ONE LITTLE THING that will REALLY piss off Hillary.

FBI Director James Comey said Wednesday that he did not think there was “a lot of immunity” granted during the year-long investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private emails, even though five of Clinton’s former staffers received immunity deals.

Cheryl Mills, Hillary Clinton’s former chief of staff, was one of those who received limited “act of production” immunity as part of a deal under which she gave her laptop to investigators. Agents found classified emails on Mills’ hard drive.

Aside from Mills, two other State Department staffers, John Bentel and Heather Samuelson, were also given immunity agreements, along with Bryan Pagliano, Clinton’s former IT aide, and Paul Combetta, an employee at the company hired to manager her server.

The FBI has been soundly criticized for its handling of the investigation, from the timing of the release of information to the Immunity deals and the fact that, after all that, no charges were laid.

There has been much speculation about the Immunity deals handed out to central players in the Clinton email and server investigation, especially to Cheryl Mills, perhaps the central player to the obfuscation.

It is even more puzzling when Comey admits that Mills had Classified information on her laptop:

FBI Director James Comey testified Wednesday that former Hillary Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills and another top aide had “some” classified material on laptops they turned over to the bureau in its probe of Clinton’s private server use as secretary of state — yet the aides still received immunity.

Comey made the acknowledgment while testifying before the House Judiciary Committee, where Republicans had tough questions about a newly revealed set of immunity deals in the Clinton case…

…GOP lawmakers fumed at Wednesday’s hearing that the bureau was too lax with those arrangements. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., lamented what he called the “DOJ immunity-producing machine,” though Comey disagreed with that assessment.

Committee member Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican and former judge, asked Comey on Wednesday how and why Mills and Samuelson were granted immunity when investigators suspected they, like Clinton, had mishandled classified electronic information.

“You granted immunity to people you needed to make a case, if a case was going to be made?” Gohmert asked.

Comey explained that part of the process includes a “queen for a day” procedure in which investigators talk to witnesses or potential witnesses to hear what they might say when testifying before deciding on whether to grant immunity.

Comey had more to say regarding who it was that was ultimately responsible for the Immunity deals:

“Who authorized granting Cheryl Mills immunity?” Rep. John Sensenbrenner asked.

“It’s a decision made by the Department of Justice, I don’t know at what level inside,” Comey responded. “In our investigations, any kind of immunity comes from the prosecutors, not the investigators.”

Comey added he understood Mills’ immunity as a request pertaining to the production of her laptop during the investigation.

“The FBI doesn’t grant immunity to anybody, the Department of Justice is able to grant very different kinds of immunity,” Comey said. “If new and substantial evidence develops a witness lied [under immunity], of course the Department of Justice can pursue it. Nobody gets lifetime immunity.”

BTW, That thing that will piss of Hillary?

Comey was questioned about what Hillary has been claiming; that Comey said she was telling the truth.

Watch:

You’re welcome, Hillary.

Surprise, surprise. You lied.

Comey says that, ‘Nobody gets lifetime immunity.’

There is still hope.

Share if you think that the HOGR Committee is FINALLY getting somewhere with its questioning of the FBI
