I honestly hope Donald Trump wins and I truly believe at this point, at least, he should if it is still true that the American people actually decide our elections. I am not one the that puts a lot of weight on the polls because I think it’s fairly easy to see what direction an election is going simply by listening and talking to the average American voter. If Hillary gets in, that will be quite frightening. Although there are definitely still many “vagina and die-hard” Democratic voters,” it seems that most fairly reasonable people can easily see that the woman is pure evil. If she does get in, it will seem certain to me that the American people are not in charge anymore. At this point, I’d be completely surprised if we got Hillary. Her policies are truly destructive to our nation. I am not seeing her popularity present in the majority of Americans I come into contact with. The scariest part is that if she wins, I think we are truly more corrupt and clueless than most of us think or we truly are no longer a republic.
I haven’t been wrong either time Obama was elected, even though I never voted for him. It was clear that Obama was no doubt the choice of the majority of Americans in his first election. I pretty much firmly believed right from the start that we will get our first black president, despite his qualifications and character. In his second election, I was taken away by the opinions of the more informed among me. I agreed with them that it seemed like Romney was going to get it, up to about the middle of the debates between him and Obama. Mitt looked strong and confident and fairly principled in the beginning, but as they went on, there was a clear shift in his entire demeanor.
I remember telling my husband, he looks like he is mad or scared? I couldn’t figure out which one? All of America is finally watching and he didn’t even question Obama firmly and demand answers about things like Benghazi. Clearly something we don’t know about happened there. Rumors do circulate about what happens to some that try to expose the Clintons or key people in the Democratic Party…just sayin’.
I still believe the average American voter still has no clue about the seriousness about Benghazi and the fact that the whole situation never got resolved. I felt like Romney lost the election in the debates. All he needed to do is ask Obama some serious questions to expose him. It really wasn’t necessary for Obama to answer, the people needed to see him dodge important issues on camera. They need to see him stutter and squirm and it never happened when it was most important. Most average American voters don’t pay much attention until then. Now I am wondering if this will happen to Trump too? We have to wait and see.
I consider the average voter someone that simply wants a better America and simply listens to the folks they know, like and trust. Most Americans simply want to be left alone to live their lives in peace. We want to be free. I truly believe most don’t believe that morality and religion are still key components to self-governing. They have to see it to believe it. I get all kinds of grief when I even suggest this.
I am hoping Trump will stand up to Clinton in the debates and win the election. He won’t even need my vote to do that. I believe he will win anyway and why do I hope he does? Despite the debates about whether he is going to seal the border or flip flop and support amnesty, I am praying he secures them. My gut says he will. I hope he is extremely successful in this and it most definitely is necessary. Securing the borders and letting the people in that truly want to make America a better place is always a great idea. I am not convinced that just this move will be enough. Sealing up a border if we are sealing in a “Godless nation” won’t improve our condition in the long run. I think America is destroying itself from the inside and with a Trump presidency, this will become clearer.
Of course, I hope I am completely wrong and all the die-hard Trump supporters can tell me “I told you so.” If I am right, I promise I will be kind, right after I give myself the satisfaction of gently saying, “See what I mean now?” Then we can all move on from there and be on the same page…. Finally… Whatever page that will be and do what it takes to truly “Make America Great Again.”
