The assumption is that President-elect Hillary Clinton will from day one be under the microscope of scandal. Unfortunately, that assumption is short-sighted.
Or in other words, it ain’t gonna happen.
Barack Obama is President. He might despise the Clintons. But remember the edict: the enemy of my enemy is my friend. As outbound President there is one thing he can do to grease the skids for his third term as administered by Hillary Clinton.
Obama can pardon Hillary Clinton. Yes, he can do that.
Would it be – to borrow Democrats’ favorite word – unprecedented? Pretty much. People have run for President while involved in criminal proceedings. All that have done so have been liberals. Personally, I can’t recall a President-elect that has received a pardon before or after taking office.
President-elect Hillary Clinton will receive a pardon unless the Obama crowd has something exceptionally nasty lurking up their sleeves.
