BRAINDEAD: Canada’s ‘Minister of Women’ OPPOSES Self Defense For WOMEN – Her Reason Is RIDICULOUS

How can a woman be against women defending themselves? Oh, right. Liberal.

A Conservative leadership candidate has said that she wants to repeal the ban on mace and pepper spray to allow women to defend themselves.

A proposal to allow Canadian women to defend themselves with pepper spray or mace is “unrealistic and offensive,” said the federal minister for the status of women.

Since 1995, Canada has prohibited the use of mace and pepper spray—a law that Conservative MP Kellie Leitch, who is a candidate for party leadership, wants to change if she becomes prime minister.

Allowing mace and pepper spray, Leitch said, would “give women a greater measure of protection against would-be attackers.”…

…Announcing her proposal last week, Leitch cited federal statistics claiming that half of Canadian women would suffer some form of physical or sexual violence against women.

“Women should not be forced by law to be victims of violence when there exist non-lethal means by which they can protect themselves,” Leitch said.

The Liberal Party of Canada went batshit crazy at that.

This has ticked off the Trudeau Government’s Minister for the Status of Women, Patty Hajdu.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whose lovely eulogy to Cuban Dictator, Fidel Castro made worldwide headlines, is known for his ‘good looks’ as shown in Vogue, selfies, shirtless photobombs, stutter articulate and inspiring speeches, and making a big deal about having a gender-balanced cabinet ‘because it’s 2015’.

Yes, this self-described Feminist Prime Minister is for women.

And so are all the women he gave Cabinet positions to — because they are women.

It’s so Progressive and Feminist to hire based on genitalia…

am-i-right

Here’s what Patty Hajdu had to say about the pepper spray and mace proposal:

“Ms. Leitch’s proposal is unrealistic and offensive to women across this country,” she said. “Her misguided approach places the onus on women to defend themselves rather than focusing on addressing and preventing gender-based violence. It is not surprising, given that ‎Ms. Leitch and the former Conservative government had 10 years to address violence against women and failed to do so.

“That’s why, after 10 years of inaction, we are developing a federal gender-based violence strategy in consultation with provinces, territories and grassroots organizations to ensure that women in Canada can live free from violence. We will continue to make sure that gender equality is at the core of all government decisions we ma‎ke.”

The government of Canada will have a ‘strategy’.

You mean like outlawing rape?

Rape is already illegal in Canada.

It would be so wrong to put the onus on women to protect themselves, says the Liberal Government.

Do these Liberals even hear what they are saying?

These self-proclaimed Feminists don’t want women defending themselves.

Isn’t it anti-Feminist to have women not able to protect themselves from violence?

How do you prevent gender-based violence?

Have an anti-rape school?

Do you get all of the rapists to go there?

How do you know you have them all?

That’s insane!

It’s not like there are conceal-carry laws in Canada.

The regulations on guns are very rigid there.

So, how does a Canadian woman protect herself?

Perhaps Jiu-jitsu or Krav Maga?

Leitch then mocked the governent’s approach on Twitter:

Don’t forget that the Trudeau Government has brought in 25,000 Syrian refugees, and wants to swing open the doors to allow more immigrants to flood in.

Share if you think Canada is screwed with this stupid Liberal government
