BUH-BYE: 10 Things We HATED About The Obama Administration (Part 1)

In a little over three weeks, the national nightmare that has been the tenure of Barack Obama will mercifully be over. What will you miss the least? Here, in no particular order, are a few of the items on my list of things that I cannot wait to be rid of once this guy if no longer in office. Part One is below. Parts Two and Three will appear in the coming weeks.

The Obsession with Race
The Cambridge police acted stupidly. If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon. Typical white person. These words remind us of the most notable aspects of the Obama presidency; that is, its unrelenting focus on race generally, and alleged white racism specifically.

Barack Obama’s obsession with race is completely understandable. Race is to Obama what Big Macs are to McDonald’s, his stock in trade, his signature product, the secret to his success. But for race, Barack Hussein Obama would still be on a Chicago street corner with his clipboard and bullhorn, trying to stir up resentment and a sense of entitlement in poor black people.

After he was elected, by a majority white country, remarkably, it became painfully apparent that you can take the community organizer off the street corner, but you can’t take the street corner or the community organizer out of the guy. He took his act to the Oval Office, which he used as a platform to not only continue lecturing “bitter clingers” about America’s arrogance and many sins, but also to stoke the fires of racial division by promoting the phony “Black Lives Matter” movement and thereby giving legitimacy to a completely false narrative about our brave police officers. His first attorney general, the contemptible Eric Holder, disgracefully racialized the Department of Justice, making it clear that it would be a weapon against “white privilege” and “race cowards.” Good riddance.

The Contempt for the Rule of Law
Give Obama one thing: he never let any duly enacted statute or even the Constitution itself stand in the way of his “fierce urgency of now.” Even the provisions of his signature “achievement,” the Orwellian-named “Affordable Care Act” were not exempt. When its provisions, such as the employer mandate, or the individual mandate, became inconvenient, or politically toxic, he arbitrarily suspended them. He used his magic pen and phone to grant amnesty to “children”, who could be as old as 30, with his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program after stating over 40 times that he couldn’t change the law on his own. Surprise! Yes we can! He attempted to extend this illegal amnesty to the border-jumping, law-breaking parents of these “DREAMers”, only to slapped down by a federal judge. The Supreme Court, in a unanimous decision, said that he exceeded his authority when he tried to make recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board when the U.S. Senate was not in recess.

He weaponized one of America’s most feared federal agencies, the Internal Revenue Service, against his political opponents, which arguably altered the outcome of the 2012 election in his favor. When the American people learned about the IRS’ misconduct, Obama said that his administration “will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives.” Nice words, but no one paid any price for what his IRS did. The poster girl for this disgrace, Lois Lerner, faced no charges, was allowed to retire and receive her government pension.

Snubbing of Our Long-Time Allies
Last week, in a break with decades of U.S. policy, the Obama Regime stabbed Israel in the back by abstaining from an extremely anti-Israel vote in the United Nations. This latest slap was not the first time that Barack Obama made his disdain for our long-time ally blatantly clear, nor for its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. The Obama Regime sent hundreds of thousands of State Department funds to an Israeli group that unsuccessfully attempted to oust Prime Minister Netanyahu. Back in 2010, Obama notoriously walked out of a meeting with Netanyahu to have dinner with his family, leaving the Israeli leader in a meeting room for over an hour.

And who can forget his treatment of our other ally, arguably our closest, the United Kingdom? He eventually admitted that in 2009, he did send back the bust of Churchill that Tony Blair had loaned George W. Bush after 9/11, after first denying it. In March, 2009, he gave the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown a box of 25 DVD’s, which would be a pretty cheesy gift even if the disks weren’t coded in a way that could not be read by DVD players in the UK. More of Obama’s infamous British gaffes here.

Is it just me, or are you also counting the days until January 20, 2017? Please let us know why in the comments below.
