YO, TRUMP HATERS: Look How MANY People GM & Home Depot Are HIRING!

Construction and auto sales — analysts LOVE using them to measure economy’s health. Which means: GREAT news!

Judging by the hiring spree happening in both industries, they are BOTH preparing adjusting staffing levels to prepare for a surge!

Home Depot and GM are both hiring. You might say it’s ‘YUGE’.

First, GM.

If you’re a Michigander looking to work in the Auto Sector? We have great news for you.

We’re looking at 900 new or retained jobs in the next twelve months. And that’s just GM.

An excerpt from that announcement:

General Motors today announced it will add or retain approximately 900 jobs across three Michigan facilities during the next 12 months. The 900 jobs are in addition to the 7,000 jobs and $1 billion in U.S. investments GM announced earlier this year.

GM also outlined a series of programs the company is supporting to promote the overall development of skills required for future job growth in Michigan and the U.S.

As a result of working closely with the UAW to grow the business, GM has identified the following job opportunities:

Romulus Powertrain Plant: Approximately 220 new jobs to increase production of the 10-speed automatic transmission to be used in multiple GM products, including the current 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
Flint Assembly Plant: Approximately 180 retained jobs by redeploying team members from Lansing Delta Township to support production of the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pick-up trucks.
Lansing Delta Township: Approximately 500 retained jobs to support production of the all-new Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave in the first quarter of 2018.
“The job commitments announced today demonstrate the confidence we have in our products, our people and an overall positive outlook for the auto industry and the U.S. economy,” said GM Chairman and CEO Mary Barra.

Great, right? There’s more.

Housing is a big indicator for the economy, right? When confidence is up, people build or reinvest money into their homes, right?

And they need to get their raw materials from somehwere, right?

What does THIS tweet tell you about expectations?

Here’s the rest of that story:

At a time when many companies are decreasing staff, big box retailer Home Depot is seeking to hire 80,000 employees to fill its stores nationwide by spring.

And the national retailer is touting the shorter time — just 15 minutes — it will take to apply for a job via its website.

“Applying for a job at the world’s largest home improvement retailer now takes about 15 minutes using any device, thanks to a shorter application and mobile-optimized ‘careers’ site at careers.homedepot.com,” said the company in a statement. — source

Jobs are up. Confidence is high. And the market is strong.

Not exactly the gloom-and-doom we were told to expect from a Trump Presidency, is it? What ELSE might the gloom-and-doomers been lying about?

What did Trump predict America would be like under his Presidency?
