The 67-year-old New Jersey woman was walking down Somerset Street in Plainfield when she was distracted by her phone.
Security footage catches the moment when she walks right into an open sidewalk door where work was being done on a gas line below. The woman tumbled 6 feet and had to be rescued by the Fire Department.

She suffered major injuries and is the hospital and still in serious condition.
