This shows just how messed up this ‘protest’ is.
It’s time for the update on Week 11 of the NFL season. Guess what? It’s looking to be another of the same old, same old with more anthem ‘protests’.
And the league does nada.
It’s not like the John 3:16 eyeblack, or the 9/11 cleats, or the small sticker that the Dallas Cowboys wanted to honor murdered officers, so it’s not worth censure.
Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch decided it would be a fan-freaking-tastic idea to sit for the Star Spangled Banner but stand respectfully for the Mexican national anthem.
And how is the situation in Mexico right now?
Much like the NFL — a sh-t show.
Mexico is hitting a record-high for murders this year. It’s getting so bad that the morgues are shutting their doors because they are already filled with bodies.
The rise of drug cartels in Mexico and the decade-long attempt to purge the nation of these violent criminals is fomenting the violence.
“Much of the increase in violence is related to the fragmentation of organized crime groups. When leaders are taken out, groups tend to fragment or suffer from battles for leadership,” said Tom Long, an international relations professor at the University of Reading.
“The state response continues to be characterised by a military-first approach” as state governors often pawn off their security responsibilities on federal forces and fail to create proper police departments, Long said. “It is also characterised by impunity. Security forces shoot first and most of the time no one asks questions later.”

What’s that you say?
They’ve failed to create proper police departments and pawn off local responsibility to the feds when it gets out of hand?
The hell you say!
So, local police are valuable?
Isn’t the entire ‘Take A Knee’ thing about how evil the police departments are and that they are ‘systemically biased’ against people of a particular hue?
So, this dude is applauding a country that has a murder problem, has had travel warnings issued against it because, you know, the police might rob your bridal party, and is a hotbed of drug trafficking.
But to say that there are ‘bad hombres’ just makes you a hater.
Lynch sitting for the anthem didn’t go unnoticed.
He was made ‘Twitter famous’ on the President’s Twitter feed:
In an early morning tweet on Monday, Trump accused Lynch of booing during the US national anthem and said the NFL should suspend him for the ‘remainder of season’.
‘Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem,’ Trump wrote. ‘Great disrespect!
‘Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.’

What do you think?
Is President Trump right on this?
Should Lynch be suspended for his approval of Mexico and disdain for his own country?
Maybe Lynch would be happier in the LFA (Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesionel) instead of the NFL.
I’m sure they pay just as well, right?
A shirt that aptly describes the NFL — No Fans Left.
NFL’s TV ratings are plummeting as more players refuse to stand for the national anthem. It’s hard to believe that a nation that has given these players the opportunity to achieve so much is so easily disrespected. Even worse, consider the men and women who have laid down their lives so that these athletes could live in a relatively safe country and enjoy their fame and fortune.
Hard-working, patriotic Americans don’t want to watch a bunch of whiners play football. They want to watch winners.
And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!

Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.
Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.
