Revealing: ‘Discover the Networks’ Exposes The Interconnected Left

Several months ago I wrote an article about David Horowitz, a former leftist who turned conservative after he experienced the violence and criminality of the Black Panthers. He has written various books, articles, and pamphlets. He also founded the David Horowitz Freedom Center, FrontPage Magazine, and several other websites, one of which I will focus on in this article, it being Discover the Networks.

Discover the Network is a website which lists various leftist organizations and their agendas. It is divided into the following sections: Individuals, Funders, Groups, Jihad, Arts & Culture, Media, Issues, Politics, Academia, and Books. Some of these groups, individuals, etc. are cross-referenced with other sections at this website (e.g. Media being provided with a list of groups and individuals).

In addition, each section is divided into subsections. For instance, the section on Groups consists of the following subsections: Animal Rights, Anti-Israel, Anti-Patriot Act, Anti-Semitic, Arab Lobby, Civil Liberties, Civil Rights, Environmentalist, Feminist, Human Rights, Immigration, Islamist, Peace, Political, Religious Left, Social Justice, Terrorist, and Union.

The subsection on Environmentalist Groups in turn not only has a list of groups, but a list of individuals, as well. Another example would be Academia, which lists not just individuals and associations, but also institutions. The Academia section also discusses issues related to primary and secondary education (e.g. Common Core).

The section on books consists of a list of issues, which are as follows: Academia/Education, Affirmative Action, AIDS, Animal Rights, Anti-Americanism, Anti-Semitism, Arab Lobby, Arts & Culture, Black Radicalism & Black Radical Thought, Capitalism & Globalization, Civil Liberties, Civil Rights, Communism, Conservatism, Cultural Studies, Environmentalism, Feminism, Funders of the Left, Government-Run Health Care, Guantanamo Bay, Homeland Security, Human Rights, Immigration, Iraq War, Islam/Jihad/Sharia/Terrorism, Israel, Liberal Racism, Liberal, Left, Progressive, Media, Middle East, Multiculturalism, Patriot Act, Peace Movement, Politics, Race in America, Racial & Ethnic Profiling, Radicalism, Religious Left & Liberation Theology, Second Thoughts, September 11th, Social Justice, Treason, Unions, Victims of the Left, Vietnam War, and the War on Terror.

Discover the Networks also gives a clear definition of the Left, tracing its origins to the Eighteenth Century philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau’s book Discourse on the Origin and Foundations of Inequality, which opposes the concept of private property. The website also has many useful resources and links, including Atlas Shrugs, the Heritage Foundation, Breitbart, and Prager University.

So be sure to check out Discover the Networks and its resources and links.
