WATCH: Roy Moore Blames ‘Abortion, Sodomy & Materialism’ For Loss – Is He Right Or Ridiculous?
Judge Roy Moore has made a statement while he continues to refuse to concede the election. Check out what he has to say.
The special election in Alabama to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions was ridiculously close.
Here’s the New York Times summary:
It was close enough that if all the write-in votes had gone to Moore, he would have won with 50.1 percent of the ballots.
Because the election was such a squeaker, Moore is waiting for the military and provisional ballots to be counted before he makes an official statement.
He’s also made some *ahem* interesting statements:
From the video:
Today, we no longer recognize the universal truth that God is the author of our life and liberty. Abortion, sodomy, and materialism have taken the place of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Really, Roy?
Abortion, sodomy, and materialism have taken the place of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?
You had me at corrupt government and the increasingly secularized society, but we’re still free to practice our religion as we see fit (unless it means refusing to bake a custom cake for a gay wedding).
Moore made some pretty good points, but maybe he goes a little far, there.
And, just to throw a wrench into things, there’s this:
Alabama Vote Fraud? Doug Jones Supporter Says "We Came From Different Parts of the Country" – https://t.co/vU4w3YNWb5 pic.twitter.com/r899spwrWo

Now, that could mean a lot of things, that voters that were still eligible to vote in the Alabama special election made a trip home to get out and vote.
OR…
A whole bunch of non-eligible voters were imported into Alabama to vote for Doug Jones.
The difference between those things is crucial.
Aside from that little issue of potential voter-fraud, is Roy Moore insinuating that he was a stellar candidate and the moral depravity of Alabamians is the reason for his loss?
Is he calling them ‘deplorable’?
We saw how that worked out for the Hildebeest.
I’m old enough to remember that President Trump originally backed Luthor Strange for the Republican ticket.
The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!

That was way back before any allegations of sexual misdeeds — the seemingly credible and even the questionable ones.
The loss of a Republican seat is pretty bad, and it just might energize the Democrats going into the mid-terms next year.
But, when the dust is settled and you’ve lost, just take it on the chin like a man.
You wouldn’t want to be a sniveling little whiner drunk on Chardonnay and the spotlight like the previous three unsuccessful Democrat Presidential Candidates, would you?
Don’t join this parade of sad losers that didn’t realize their ‘Moment’ was over:
