‘Government Shutdown’ Debacle Points to a Much More Basic Problem

As the video below demonstrates, Office of Management and Budget director Mick Mulvaney recently shut down CNN’s fake-news Jim Acosta with facts!

This just-expired government shutdown was 100% on the Democrat Senators. Initially, Republicans did not have sixty senators and it required Democrats to pass anything.
Also, the idea that Democrats and Republicans all have to vote in lockstep with their party is ridiculous and goes against everything our government and two party system stands for. Healthy debate between the two parties, and even within a party, is the only way to reach compromise and a functioning government for the people. If there is no compromise there is no workable two-party system.

It seems we’ve become so divided that there’s no middle ground, just the two extremes. I have a real problem with our current system, it’s just become a political war for power amongst our elected officials only. There is no war of ideas, debate or compromise for the betterment of the American people. We’ve become completely polarized and face very scary times. That’s the simple truth and that’s what’s wrong with government.

We have a big problem on our hands, perhaps the conversation should be about how we move forward as a functioning government? Perhaps a complete overhaul is due?
