Unintended Consequences: Are Lefties Creating a New Imported ‘Slave Class’?

Written by Candace Hardin on January 4, 2018

California’s Governor Jerry Brown signed a law that became effective in 2018 making the state a “sanctuary state.” This allows for any and all illegal aliens to remain in California without question. They are given driver’s license, healthcare and schooling without need for documentation.

This seems ill advised given the recent wrongful death of Kate Steinle and the travesty of justice that was played out upon the trial of her illegal alien killer.

The Brown family has governed California for more than 50 years with Edmund G. Brown, father of the current governor Jerry, celebrating California as the largest state in the Union in 1962.

With the huge influx of people during the senior Brown’s tenure, it has brought the state to its current state of perpetual drought and water shortages. Which has been the catalyst for the wildfires that has plagued the state for many years.

That problem aside, the new status of “Sanctuary City” brings new issues and problems.

The rich citizens of California, who pay 41% of the state’s revenues are leaving in record numbers as the state income tax will rise to the highest in the nation as of 2018.

With the largest earners leaving and the majority earners who earn far less and often pay no tax, it appears to be a financial crisis about to explode. Especially when the cost of free schooling, healthcare, police protection etc. is calculated and there are few to foot the bill.

In a state where insurance companies are beginning to refuse to write new policies or are very picky about the properties they will cover, given the risks, it seems a really bad time to thumb the state’s nose at the Federal Government and its immigration laws.

Many predict that the claims will be difficult and slow to receive reimbursement as they are stretching the resources of the insurers very thin.

While some, especially Democrats, will argue how much we need low-skill workers, like many immigrants, it brings rise to two possible ulterior motives that don’t even touch real effect of the low-skill United States citizen’s ability to work at a competitive rate…

First one is the theory that for the Democratic Party, the best way to advance whatever cause they have left is to replace the current demographic with a more pliable group of voters.

The second, more chilling motive beyond political partisan, may be to create a third class, an almost slave – like, group who will work in people’s homes and yards for pennies, who will take any kind of treatment because they have no real right to be in the United States.

At any rate, California is burning, and it is not just the wildfires that threaten to explode.
