Statutory rape laws ought to be extended to political exploitation of minors.
It’s sad how predictable it is that, in the wake of the tragedy in Florida, the left would graft itself on to the pain experienced by minors in that Parkland high school.
“Never let a crisis go to waste,” so once said a former Barack Obama insider and now mayor of a major American city more deadly than Baghdad despite a litany of prohibitions against gun ownership in Chicago.
The left certainly isn’t letting Parkland go to waste. Not when they can parade “activists” all under the age of 18. By virtue of their youth – their political virginity one might say – it’s instant heresy to question their point of view. By virtue of their inexperience and their lack of knowledge, they are rendered the most qualified human beings in America to discuss gun violence for they can never be questioned.
If you do decide to challenge their “activism” they’ll call you a bully and then the larger left and all of their appendages in media and elsewhere will whine that you are bullying children. Isn’t that a stroke of genius on the part of the left? To rope in actual children to march in lock step with their agenda and essentially use them as human shields? Saddam Hussein would be proud.
At this point you may be doubtful. If so, simply take a look at the signs held high by many of these children “activists” in Florida and elsewhere. Notice anything?
They are mass-produced aren’t they. And reminiscent of signs used during Occupy. Black Lives Matter, and Antifa rallies. (Isn’t it interesting by the way how Occupy doesn’t exist anymore, Black Lives Matter is strangely quiet, and the Antifa, that in November promised to overthrow the Trump administration, has barely said a peep in 2018?).
Back when Occupy, Black Lives Matter, and so on were out doing the bulk of the rabble rousing, once in a while a TV camera would catch a close-up shot of one of those mass-produced signs. When it did, you’d see a phone number. The area code usually indicated Manhattan but once in a while would represent Chicago. If you googled the phone number, the Manhattan version would give you the offices of the Marxist International A.N.S.W.E.R and the Chicago version would give you the offices of the Revolutionary Community Party.
Unfortunately, we haven’t seen close-up shots yet of the post-Parkland signs or the phone numbers in fine print along the edges. We may not. It’s possible International A.N.S.W.E.R. and the Revolutionary Community Party learned their lesson and stripped their current sign offerings of identifiable information. Says a lot about both organizations that they might do that doesn’t it.
In any event, what we are witnessing is the political prostitution of minors all in an attempt to make political headway on backs of seventeen dead children. This is nothing less than political rape in the statutory sense.
