Did The Left’s ‘Paul Ryan Killing Grandma’ Ad Just Boomerang On This State?

A society declines rapidly—and people become vulnerable—when it forsakes the principles that made it great in the first place. Those who attack original principles wind up attacking The People.

In America those principles originally included the belief God endows certain rights, guaranteed! Chief among these rights are the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness (Declaration of Independence).

The case can be made the Left has been engaged for years in a war against our rights to Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, but let us focus today on the war waged against Life. In particular, let’s examine developments in the state of Oregon, among the bluest of the blue states.

The current governor of Oregon is Kate Brown, a far left radical who states flat out that Oregon is her private experimental laboratory, a place where she can “test” every hair-brained far left radical idea she plucks out of thin air. Consequently, Oregon spends millions and millions of taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions, even covering expenses for illegal aliens so they too can kill babies in the womb.

Yes, the war on Life is being underwritten by Oregon taxpayers. But that’s not all folks. Abortion is only strike one.

Oregon became famous not long ago for being the first state to legalize assisted suicide. Again, the war on Life, strike two.

Drug abuse is rampant in Oregon. Hard drugs kill people daily. What does the governor suggest and implement? Another brilliant solution: legalization of marijuana, and decriminalization of hard drugs. Strike three in the war on Life. And watch traffic fatalities increase substantially, strike four.

But that’s not all!

A new initiative is making the rounds in the Legislature! This one calls for killing old folks with Alzheimer’s Disease.

HB 4135 “would remove important patient protections by allowing a health care representative to make decisions contrary to the patient’s will. This will put vulnerable dementia and Alzheimer’s patients, who may not have supportive advocates, at risk of starvation or dehydration,” reports Oregon Right to Life. Strike five!

Apparently, during recent public hearings, even the bill’s sponsors retreated in the face of this revelation, but only to revise the legislation for future consideration.

How many strikes do these people get before they are called OUT? Answer: no more! Voters will have opportunities this year to vote out governors and legislators who think they can play God and force upon us state-sanctioned killing, funded by taxpayers.

Total decline is inevitable when elitists in government decide killing is healthcare, that our money is theirs to “experiment” with as they please. So much for the Right to Life, in their minds, anyway. Theirs is most certainly a Declaration of Decadence.
