Midterm Elections: Will Dem Opposition To GOP’s ‘Crumbs’ Hurt Them In November?

Did you say thanks but no thanks, when you received your February paycheck with its first Trump tax reduction or bonus thanks to the historic tax reform bill he signed into law? Well according to Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, you probably should have tossed your bonus check aside, because she regards the $1,000-and-up bonuses as “crumbs.” Well, the GOP is planning a “Crumbs Act” surprise for her, according to Fox News.

As most Americans know, $1,000 is not crumbs, unless you are a multi-millionaire, liberal, San Francisco lawmaker like Pelosi. She has no feeling for the challenges that everyday heartland Americans deal with and that is why, in part, Republican lawmaker Rep. Todd Rokita, R-Ind., has dubbed his bill the “Creating Relief and Useful Middle-Class Benefits and Savings” — or “CRUMBS” Act.

In January when Pelosi spit out the notion that President Trump’s tax reform plan benefits would be nothing more than crumbs, she was giving the American people the middle finger. Her disdain and contempt for the working families that could use a $1,000 bonus to make a car repair, replace a broken water heater, pay off utility bills, or buy a new stove or refrigerator did not go unnoticed.

Now, with Congressman Rokita’s bill, the bonuses that Americans received via Trump’s tax reform plan would be tax-free.

Can you imagine how Pelosi and the House or Senate Democrats could possibly vote against giving their constituents a tax-free benefit? Well, to be honest, liberal Democrats have been known to toss commonsense right out the window. These Pelosi influenced leaders on Capitol Hill routinely vote against Christian religious rights, right-to-life, self-reliance, educational vouchers, and protecting police.

Instead these congressional liberals vote or support race baiting actions of Black Lives Matter, destroying historical monuments, back anti-traditional family legislation, and refuse poor and minority families access to private school educational vouchers.

The message is clear. Pelosi and her congressional gang of out of touch leaders care little for the facts which demonstrate the economic break that America needed and thirst for has arrived. These elected hypocrites are angered because, since the president took office, the economy had boomed and the stock market has skyrocketed. Now, according to a recent tally by Americans for Tax Reform, 346 companies have given workers bonuses or raises or increased contributions to employees’ 401(k). That is excellent news, that leaves a sour taste in the mouths of Democrats who would rather resist the economic reality than join in ways to further assist their constituents.

Consider the fact that 200,000 employees at AT&T, received $1,000. That is an awful lot of families who can make a dent in their bills. What about the automaker Fiat Chrysler, which shelled out up to up to $2,000 in bonuses to at least 60,000 workers or U-Haul, where over 28,000 full and part-time employees received bonuses ranging from $500 to $1,200? These were not crumbs as Pelosi would have the Beltway Democrats believe.

So, in November, when Americans go to the polls for the midterm election, remember to take along your check or bonus stub as a reminder that the money was not crumbs. Send her and her Democrat congressional henchmen and woman a message; vote them out of office and let them eat cake or crumbs.
