The student protesters — one in particular — billed themselves as the NRA’a “biggest nightmare”. Cool story bro.
Did that ‘master plan’ involve drowning them in new memberships? Because NRA donations just tripled.
You see, there’s a difference between Citizens and businesses.
Businesses can be bullied into cutting ties with someone when some social media thug comes along and tells their advertisers — nice business you’ve got there, pity if something should happen to it.
But citizens? You have no way to bully them in acting against their own self-interest. If they want to take out membership in a group, they will. It’s called freedom of association.
People on the Left used to think that freedom was a good thing. That was back before they were militarized by big money activists.
Of course, CNN was reporting the story, so they editorialized it. (Which is weird for a company that pretends to present unbiased news.)
In the days and weeks following the February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, the National Rifle Association saw a significant spike in donations.
In fact, reports from the Federal Election Commission show donations to the NRA’s Political Victory Fund tripled from January to February.
In January, the NRA collected almost $248,000 in individual contributions. In February, they collected more than $779,000.It’s no secret that interest in guns and gun sales — as evidenced by anecdotes and manufacturing numbers — have until recently gotten boosts from mass shootings. So it would stand to reason that donations to the NRA would get a bump as well.

Do we need to go back to basic critical thinking about the difference between correlation and causation?
Did CNN even contemplate the possibility of its own ‘Town Hall’ and demonizing of guns and lawful gun owners (despite the fact that the vast majority of murders are NOT perpetrated by lawful gun owners) and more pointedly, the Demonization of the NRA?
Nah. Couldn’t be THAT.
They’re going with “gun nuts”.
