Hillary Takes Credit For #MeToo Movement – Forgets She’s Married To Bill And Buddies With Weinstein
Does Hillary deserve credit for the MeToo movement? Fact-check: False.
On second thought, maybe we could call it a half-true. After all, Hillary did link it to her losing the election.
It was another nugget from that meeting at ‘the Wing’.

Hillary thinks she had a role to play in fast-tracking the MeToo movement.
Clinton’s remarks were caught on video at the Manhattan women’s club The Wing on Tuesday night, where she continued to cast blame over her loss in the 2016 presidential election.
Someone at the talk asked: ‘In an alternative reality, if you were president today in 2018, do you think the #MeToo movement would’ve still happened?’
‘I believe that it was a wave that was building and building and building,’ Clinton responded. ‘I think my losing probably accelerated that wave, but the wave was coming.’

Did her losing have something to do with it?
Well, maybe. Becuase after all, the MeToo was triggered by the New York Times piece.
For some reason, the ‘cone of silence’ that kept spiking any story that the press got wind of was suddenly pierced.
When was it pierced? Good question. And a relevant one.
It was just less than one year after Hillary became politically irrelevant and unable to wield any of that ‘pay-for-play’ influence we keep hearing about. Her speaking appearances, once big-dollar events, have dwindled down to something less than what ‘Snooki’ gets to speak.
Whatever you think of Hillary Clinton, do you really think Snooki would get paid less than her for a gig??
Both women spoke at Rutgers University and Snooki’s (from “Jersey Shore”) talent fee was higher than her politically charged counterpart. It’s worth noting that Rutgers is in New Jersey but Hillary was nearly the president of the United States!!
Hillary made $25,000 for her speech while Snooki got $32,000.

Weinstein had been a close ally and supporter of the Clintons. A ‘rainmaker’ who would not only contribute big dollars but influence others to do the same. Being a friend of Clinton may have been one of the things that kept him safe for so long.
But suddenly the Clintons didn’t cast the long shadow they used to.
Bill himself was talked about in the MeToo context, for example, in NYT’s “I Believe Juanita”
That was November.
Hillary herself is best remembered for her helpful role in supporting women by the way she slandered the women who raised accusations — some of which were later proven — against her political meal ticket … er, Husband.
Less known, but still discussed in the General Election was how Ms ‘deal me in’ on the women’s card once attacked a 12-year-old rape victim while defending an accused rapist.
“I have been informed that the complainant is emotionally unstable with a tendency to seek out older men and to engage in fantasizing. I have also been informed that she has in the past made false accusations about persons, claiming they had attacked her body.”

So should she take credit for the MeToo movement?
Only in the sense that she was one of the clogs which — once properly flushed — let the water flow freely.
