Keep your hands off my guns.
It is indeed sad that the poorly-informed Left has been continuously yelling about gun control. They would like it to ultimately lead to gun confiscation, and to do this they are making up stories which are totally untrue and putting them out through the mainstream media. The gun control bunch refuses to acknowledge the Second Amendment as well as the positive uses of firearms. Safety of Americans comes to mind.
The Left is playing along with the Socialist agenda which includes no guns for the citizens. They would like to do away with the Second Amendment and outlaw all guns in America. This is how a government gains total control and makes its citizens helpless. This is how Socialist/Communist countries are born, and this would be the end of our Republic which has functioned so effectively for over 200 years.
The argument from the Liberals is “Guns kill people”. WRONG! People kill people with guns, knives, baseball bats, axes, hatchets, cars, and stones and whatever else is handy. So, should we ban all of these things and more? Unfortunately, the Liberal mind does not think logically, so when an object is blamed for the killing and deaths. It is not the object; it is the person who performs this heinous act of killing.
The concept of gun-free zones is also ridiculous. What that says to those who will do harm is “No guns so it will be so easy for chaos to be committed”. Many of the gun free zones are schools where the most vulnerable of all are left in harm’s way. Most of the shooting sprees are done by demented individuals who have shown signs of mental illness way before the actual act was perpetrated. In most cases no action was taken to treat the sick and dangerous person.
One of the high school tragedies on February 14, 2018, occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Broward County, Florida. This is part of the Miami metropolitan area. Seventeen people (14 students and 3 staff members) were killed and 17 others were wounded. Nineteen-year-old Nicholas Cruz, a former student who was expelled, confessed and was taken into custody. Prior to this the Sheriff’s Department received a number of tips in 2016 and 2017, about Cruz’s threats to carry out a school shooting, but nothing was done.
During the horrific tragedy Sheriff’s deputies remained outside the building instead of going in and confronting the shooter. If they had done what they were supposed to do, many lives could have been saved. Afterwards, the Left, along with the mainstream media immediately started yelling for stricter gun controls, with some even wanting national gun confiscation.
The use of “crisis actors” such as David Hogg, a seventeen-year-old student from Parkland, was part of the Liberal narrative. Hogg is a glory-seeking know-nothing boy who was given his fifteen minutes of fame and is still trying to expand it. It’s questionable whether Hogg was even on campus during the shooting. Many students who WERE on campus and opposed the Liberal line have been harassed and threatened.
The way to stop school shooting is simple: stop making schools gun-free zones, it’s an invitation to those intent on hurting others; have teachers armed, who are well-trained in the use of firearms; limit the entrances to schools and have metal detectors; employ security guards (armed forces vets and retired police personnel would be ideal).
I believe that citizens should obtain concealed carry permits, know how to properly handle a gun, and carry it with them at all times. I do. I also recommend that we stay out of stores that insist upon being gun-free zones. They leave customers with no way to protect themselves if an active shooter situation occurs. When listening to the loony Left screaming and carrying on about gun control, it does make one wonder, are the Libs interested in protecting American citizens, or are they just concerned with advancing their Socialist agenda of “fundamentally transforming America”?
Last word: Don’t fall for the mob psychology with the false narrative from the Left. Get the concealed carry permit, a gun, and don’t leave home without it.
