If you were really curious, you could ask a whole lot of folks that recently gained employment due to President Trump’s booming economy.
President Trump has been at the helm with record-low black unemployment.
Dropping from its previous record of 4.8 percent from October of 2006, Hispanic unemployment currently sits at 4.6 percent for the month.
Unemployment among African-Americans inched up to 6.5 percent — recording the second lowest unemployment rate for the group since the Bureau of Labor Statics began tracking the metric in 1972.
Job creation was stronger in June than analysts had anticipated with 213,000 jobs created.
Though the unemployment rate rose slightly to 4 percent, the labor force participation rate also rose to 62.9 percent.
The demand for labor is high. The April and May employment numbers were readjusted to 37,000, bringing the three month total to an increase of 211,000.
The professional and business services sector added 50,000 new positions, manufacturing rose by 36,000, while the fabricated metals industry, which is at the heart of Trump’s current trade battle, added 7,000 new workers.
