Getting Rid Of ICE Would Dump 1.4M Criminal Aliens On The Streets, 3x The Population Of Miami
Hey Dems, are you SURE you want to ‘abolish ice’? Have you considered what the consequences would look like?
There was a time when Democrats were committed to the well-being of the nation. We’ve referenced JFK’s classic quote ‘ask not what your country can do for you’ with some regularity.
(If you’re under thirty, and went to public school, you may need Google’s help on that one.)
But somewhere along the way — and going by their public statements, it wasn’t all that long ago, see the tweet — the Democrats made a swap.
Notice how many Democrats weren’t afraid to call certain kinds of immigration ‘illegal’.

But times have changed. Now they’ve slid so far to the Left — whether as an appeal to radical special interests or because they are hoping to tap illegal immigrants as a future political base — that they don’t even agree with their OWN Obama-era rhetoric anymore.
Have they bothered to consider the consequences of that change? Here’s what it would have looked like if ICE had been axed five yers ago:
Analysis conducted by Breitbart News reveals that had ICE been eliminated five years ago, there would have been about 1,406,051 criminal illegal aliens released into the American public rather than being arrested and deported.
This is a criminal illegal alien population that is more than triple the population of Miami, Florida.
Most recently, House and Senate Democrats have made abolishing ICE and all immigration enforcement part of their unofficial platform ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.
On Wednesday, nearly 170 House Democrats voted against or “present” on a resolution praising and thanking ICE for their law enforcement duties in combatting crime, human trafficking, and drug smuggling.
Had ICE been abolished five years ago, more than 605,000 criminal illegal aliens arrested by the agency would have been freed into the U.S. Another 800,500 criminal illegal aliens would have been able to evade deportation and released back into American neighborhoods.

How strongly do the Democrats feel about opposing ICE? Is it meaningless posturing, or do they have the courage of their convictions?
So strongly that most of them voted ‘Present’ on ICE-related legislation. Way to ‘lead from behind’, guys!
ICE doesn’t just deal with Illegals, of course. They also break up child trafficking rings and are involved in drug busts. We DO still have a Fentanyl epidemic don’t we? It’s killing more Americans than gun deaths and dropping the national Life Expectancy numbers.
But hey, why would they care about trivialities like that, when they’ve got an agenda to push?
