President Trump Is Playing Down Strengths to Win Co-Operation from Vladimir Putin

A recent article describes Presidential leadership as seen by Presidents’ Clinton and Bush-43. (See: here).

It seems to me that the leadership of these two past presidents was WEAK at best. They seemed primarily focused on short-term politics – on getting elected and reelected and on being popular.

Their contrast with President Trump’s focus of putting America First and Making America Great Again is enormous. Trump is a STRATEGIC (long view) leader and manager who tells-it-like-it-is … politics be damned! He communicates via plain-speak and takes appropriate action. And the voters get it and like it.

Trump has already accomplished more for the well-being of our nation and our workers and businesses than Clinton and Bush combined. And President Trump is not done as evidenced by his recent trips overseas and his sense of urgency.

Take his strategy vis-Ă -vis Russian President Vladimir Putin?

With the exception of their military and raw materials, Russia is a very poor country. Obviously, the USA is a very prosperous nation.

When one is conspicuously stronger than his opponent – it behooves the stronger party to play down his strengths in return for a cooperative relationship.

It seems that’s what President Trump was doing in his press conference with Vladimir Putin. Trump was making the future progressively more difficult for Putin to become uncooperative in areas of apparent concern.

The Leftist media and many of our politicians apparently don’t get this.

Or what about this: I didn’t know that prosperous Germany was so far behind in their obligatory support of the NATO alliance . . . was purchasing billions of dollars of gas via the new North Sea Pipeline from Russia . . . and that the USA taxpayers were picking up their deficit. What in Heaven’s name was President Obama doing -– allowing this kind of exploitation to continue?

Thank the Lord for our clear speaking and courageous President Trump — for speaking-out against this exploitation of American goodwill — and for setting the record straight. (NOTE: During the recent NATO conference, Trump obtained a pledge from the NATO nations to bring their obligations in line with their 2% of GDP responsibilities.)

Shame on the Leftist Media and the Democrat Party “leadership” for speaking out against our America-First President in his pragmatic effort to correct these NATO abuses.

Even a mere partial list of President Trump’s record-breaking, first-nineteen-month’s accomplishments are striking — fulfillments of his campaign promises. Clearly, he needs voter support to perpetuate these unprecedented achievements.

Frankly, I cannot understand why the Democrats are so uncooperative – so negative — so unwilling to recognize the good that the Trump Agenda is accomplishing for American workers and businesses.
