Heather Weldon, a mother of two, entered the home of a 94-year old veteran with her kids and an unidentified man and stole some cash from the vet’s wallet.
Police are investigating Heather Weldon who was seen entering Thomas Hendrix’s Douglas, Georgia, home on Monday with her two young children and a man.
Hendrix, a retired US Navy veteran, lives with a caretaker who was not home at the time and let the family-of-four into his home.
Home surveillance footage shows the man and two children leading Hendrix into another room as Weldon stayed behind to use the bathroom.
But instead of going to the restroom, the video shows Weldon finding Hendrix’s wallet and stealing money from it.
Police say that Weldon took $40 from the Hendrix’s wallet, put it in her dress and then went to the bathroom to flush the toilet.

The disturbing part is that this theft happened in broad daylight and she brought her children with her, and it doesn’t appear that Hendrix knew Weldon at all.
Seeing video of four strangers entering his house greatly disturbed the caretaker that lives with Hendrix.
Neil DeLoach, who has lived with Hendrix for 10 years as his caretaker, said he was not home at the time and does not know the people that entered his home.
‘Well, first of all, I didn’t know who they were. I was kind of panicking. I knew Mr. Hendrix didn’t know them,’ DeLoach told WISTV.
‘It kind of scared me that I’ve got security cameras all over the property that you can see and they still came right in and you know, very brave. And that’s what scares me about the whole situation, people are just brave,’ he added.

Weldon has denied the stealing allegations, however. Police identified her when she commented on the Facebook video of the theft.
She wrote, ‘I did not steal from him it was all a big misunderstanding. I done spoke with the man and everything is took care of!!‘
So, taking money out of the man’s wallet and putting it in your dress doesn’t count as stealing in 2018.
Interesting.
Weldon could face a misdemeanor charge of theft.
She’ll also face public shame for stealing from a 94-year old Navy veteran.
