Chimerical is a word unfamiliar to most, but aptly describes the mindset of the far left. Merriam-Webster offers this definition: existing only as the product of unchecked imagination: fantastically visionary or improbable.
The notion that guns are killing blacks in Chicago is chimerical. Blacks are killing blacks. White supremacists in their purest form are quite pleased — even elated — at the thought of leftist loons living in a self-induced state of denial while the massacre continues unabated.
To that end the far left is complicit with both white supremacist ideology and the massacre of thousands throughout the nation’s black communities.
Why is the far left so stubborn on this issue?
The far left views gun violence as a pretense to attack the Second Amendment and, ultimately, the Bill of Rights in toto. That is to say, the far left seems pleased that blacks are using guns to massacre other blacks. It gives the far left leverage to attack the Constitution.
Just a reminder: President James Garfield wasn’t killed by an assassin. He was killed by an ass; his personal physician, to be specific.
Willard Bliss, MD, chose to ignore reality and rejected sterilization. Garfield likely died of sepsis due to the stubborn ignorance of Bliss. Louis Pasteur’s discovery that germs and disease were connected was relatively new. Bliss held to the old school view and extracted the bullet, reportedly, with unwashed hands and unsanitary utensils.
Fast forward to 2018.
Some still prefer to willfully ignore reality. Violent crime permeates virtually every black-majority community in our nation. Were guns the problem we would expect the same gun-related fatality rate throughout the Bubba-belt where hunting is sacred, everyone owns a firearm and pickup truck, and deer racks deck their halls with boughs of folly.
Like Dr. Bliss killing Garfield, the far left is complicitly killing black people by pretense.
How bad is it?
It depends on who you ask.
Ask Dr. Bliss and he would have told you the president was on the road to recovery. Just let him handle it.
Ask the far left and they will tell you the solution to violent crime in Chicago and other black areas is a simple matter of extracting the Second Amendment with their dirty hands and unwashed utensils.

25 people — most black — were recently shot in 2.5 hours in Chicago. The epidemic is so prevalent that gunmen don’t even bother to flee.
At least 41 people were shot in Chicago from 11 a.m. Saturday through Sunday morning, four fatally. Three of those deaths happened since about midnight in a period when 35 people were shot. During one 2½-hour period alone, 25 people were shot — two fatally — in five multiple-injury shootings, authorities said.
Many of the victims were age 21 or under.
James Garfield may have lived to a ripe old age had Dr. Bliss removed himself and allowed medical realists to treat the president. Black communities may be salvaged if the far left would excuse itself and allow realists to confront the black-on-black gun violence epidemic.
