I feel that I have now lived long enough to witness the beginning of the destruction of the United States of America as we know it, from within our own borders. I hope and pray to God HIMSELF that I am wrong. But by the empirical evidence right before our eyes on a daily basis, how can anyone believe that Democrats care about America anymore? And, how can any decent, moral person who also claims Christ Jesus as Savior, claim to be a Democrat? I’d personally would have more respect for you if you were Jewish and joined the American Nazi Party.
“Ah, geez…. DeGroff, you’re getting way too judgmental again”, you say.
No, I stand on the Biblical principle of Matthew 7:15,16: “Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits…” The word “fruits” as found in this verse is often regarded as an Old English synonym for works. So I and others like myself who are paying attention are not being judgmental at all when we call out liberals/Democrats/progressives (or whatever it is this week…) on their hypocrisy.
Here’s just a short list of the Democrat’s hypocritical “fruit”:
Suppression of Freedom of Speech: Not only are conservative speakers being shouted down on college campuses, this same mindset is now mainstream. Conservatives are being banned from public social media sites of every kind simply for being conservative.
Suppression of Freedom of Assembly: How many more times are conservative individuals and families going to be harassed and even chased from public spaces such as restaurants?
Abortion: Why is it that all discussions about “women’s health issues” only focuses on abortion? Why don’t we ever have discussions concerning other “health issues” such as cancer screening, diabetes, weight vs. health, diet, etc.? Oh, those issues don’t fit the narrative, do they?
2nd Amendment: We all know what they want to do with that one, don’t we? Deplorables shouldn’t have guns for protection. After all, it’s the gun that commits the crime, not the poor misunderstood criminal (which brings us to…)
Criminal Justice System: There is now a move in certain circles of liberalism to end what they call “mass incarceration”. In other words, we’re locking up way too many unfortunate, misunderstood criminals. No matter what they did, or what the law says, there’s just too many of the poor souls in prison. Remember, to a Democrat, compassion is never to be expressed for the victim of crime (which yet again dovetails nicely into…)
Open Borders: Current estimates of the number of illegals here are now saying that it’s possibly closer to 22 million than the previous count of 11 million. Either way, there shouldn’t even be one. Back in 1954 under the Eisenhower Administration, there was a little government program called “Operation Wetback”, that helped to deal with the problem. God forbid we try something like this now. Along with open borders, Democrats have also designated close to 500 of our communities as sanctuary cities. Couple that with the move to permanently abolish ICE and any form of border security, and that’s a Democrat “fruit” that is pure poison.
Thought control: Think I’m kidding about this one? While it’s an actual part of suppression of freedom of speech, Democrats now want to change the very language in such a way that the use of certain words will now be regarded as more of a crime than any action ever could be. Certain words and phrases that make Democrats uncomfortable are now considered “hateful” and even “violent”. Look, if I really “hated ” you, you’d be in the hospital and I’d be in jail; and if I really wanted to truly do violence to you…well, I’m a registered gun owner. Draw your own conclusion on that one.
This is of course just a short list of the current works/fruit of the Democrats. The entire Democrat Party has now gone so far left that they no longer even put up a false front of civility. They truly hate what America is, they truly hate those of us who love America, and if they have to start killing us to get their way, I think they really would. (Only problem is…deplorables own most of the guns and we have an all-volunteer military that would stand with us.)
Remember this as well. On Nov. 10, 1938, the Nazis enacted what became known as Kristallnacht, where they vandalized and even torched Jewish synagogues, homes and businesses. From 1938, it was just a very short path from smash and burn to the gas chambers of the 1940s.
Put everything I’ve just listed within the context of the following verses from Isaiah Chapter 5: v.20 — “Woe unto them who call evil, good and good, evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness… (v.21) Woe unto them who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own strength (v.23) Who justify the wicked for reward and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him.”
Just as the election of 2016 was a time when Christians came together to pray for our country, we have now been brought back to the same place by those who want to destroy us. We have the obligation, the duty, to use our freedom before the Democrats try to take it away. Pray, vote conservative in November, and continue to pray, pray, pray…and pray some more.
Newt Gingrich, who is one of the most astute observers of American politics in the last fifty years, recently said this in regard to the current political climate: “This is about raw power. If we don’t get Kavanaugh confirmed, we will never get another conservative justice.”
In closing, I’d like to share something of a frighteningly prophetic incident that doesn’t come from the Bible. When Ben Franklin was leaving the Constitutional Convention of 1787, he was approached by a group of citizens and asked what type of government the gathered representatives had decided upon. “A Republic,” Franklin answered. “If you can keep it.”
