Here’s Why Timid Republicans Must Share the Blame for the Kavanaugh Circus

“That is a trap. I offer money, you’ll play the man of honor and take umbrage; I ask you to do what is right and you’ll play the brigand. I have no stomach for games.” — The Operative in the movie Serenity

What a beautiful trap they’ve set.

The left is nothing if not inconsistent and hypocritical. Just look at any single position they maintain. They turn into pious monks while chanting about climate change while simultaneously excusing their own global warming prophets like Leonardo DiCaprio and Al Gore from stomping their Paul Bunyan-size carbon footprints – if there is such a thing — upon the earth.

They don’t care. Give them power to restrict commerce and production.

They eschew profit and capitalism but when anyone points out inconsistencies like seven out of the wealthiest ten legislators are Democrats, they become Helen Keller.

They don’t care. Elect more Democrats to slap new taxes on those who can least afford it.

While the Kavanaugh Kabuki Theater is nothing new, the Left has given us novis signis (new standards) for winning at all costs. Here we have questionable accusations from more than 35 years ago with witnesses coming forth but then fading back, a high-ranking Senator on the Judiciary Committee who sat on the letter for six weeks, until after Kavanaugh’s hearing was over, and a group of corrupt media and Hollywood banshees assuming guilt without evidence. And if you dare to call for due process, guaranteed by Kamala Harris’ “that book you carry” in the 5th Amendment, you must be a misogynist.

They don’t care. Delay the vote until after the elections when, on the chance that if the Democrats take the Senate. they’ll put Trump’s SCOTUS nomination on the shelf.

But wait, there’s more. There is always more. Exhibit 654,979 of their weapons-grade hypocrisy: The Democratic National Committee’s second in command, Congressman Keith Ellison, is running for Minnesota Attorney General. This cretin has so far suffered ZERO coverage or pressure surrounding two former girlfriend’s credible accusations and evidence of physical and mental abuse.

That sound you do not hear is called Radio Silence.

I’m not revealing anything readers don’t know, but there’s a truth we have to face: The problem isn’t with them. It’s with the Republicans who let them get away with it.

If Republicans allow Democrats to use these evil tactics – in this case, let Kavanaugh and his family be unjustly smeared — why wouldn’t they keep going? Wouldn’t you, if you could?

It’s the perfect trap. Postpone the vote, Democrats win. Hold the vote and if Kavanaugh gets voted down, Democrats win. Hold the vote and if Kavanaugh gets voted up, Democrats win because (they think) they’ll have a giant political hammer to beat Republicans with in November. They’re already talking about impeaching Kavanaugh if he makes it to the SC. But it’s only the perfect trap if Republicans are too scared to gut through it.

As for you, Senator and Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and the majority of the Republicans in the Senate, sound off like you have a pair and vote this man into the Supreme Court like the majority of Americans want you to – or live in shame for the rest of your lives.
