So, Does This Florida ‘Crisis’ Mean We Have To Tear Down Every Darwin Statue?

When do we get to tear down the statues and such erected to honor Charles Darwin?

I only bring it up because of the recent, predictable spectacle that emerged from Florida. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that at some point Democrats would call Desantis a racist as he squares off versus Gillum in the Florida gubernatorial race. The only thing surprising is how quickly Democrats played the race card.

Perhaps Democrats prematurely blew their wad because they needed something, anything, to keep attention off of the investigation into Gillum. Yep, the guy is under an FBI and grand jury investigation. To summarize what the Washington Post has reported, Gillum apparently had illegal involvement with lobbyists who, among other things, bought Gillum incredible vacations to places like Costa Rica. Interesting an avowed Democratic Socialist would prefer to vacation in a place like Costa Rica rather than socialist paradises like Venezuela, isn’t it. One wonders, how did Tallahassee benefit from the excesses Gillum enjoyed on the lobbyists’ dime down in Central America – there are rumors of videos detailing some of those excesses.

Anyway, it would be easy to laundry list all the Democrats – from Adam Schiff to Bernie Sanders and beyond – that have dared use the word “monkey”. Instead, let’s ask ourselves a very simple question: why is “monkey” such a bad, racist word?

Oh, that’s right. Democrats going back to the era of slavery believed people of African origin were descended from primates. Not all Africans mind you. Egyptians for example, are Africans. The focus way back when was on people of African origin with dark skin. Where did Democrats get the idea that somehow, people of African origin with dark skin, were descended from primates?

Enter from stage left one of the patron saints of secularism, Charles Darwin.

You know, the same Darwin Democrats love to plaster bumper-sticker odes on the back of their coal-fired hybrids. The same Darwin they hold up as singular source refutation versus the first five books of the Bible, also known as the Torah, which were written over centuries by a vast number of authoritative sources.

Darwin was the first person to call black people “monkeys”, yet he is heralded as a hero by the same mouth-breathers that voted for Gillum, and that call Desantis a racist.

So when do we rename things named after Darwin and rip down any monuments to the junk scientist who first called black people monkeys? Honorifics for others have been removed and forbidden public space recently for far less have they not?
