Willie Nelson Has A Message For Conservatives That Might Cost Him Ticket Sales
It’s 2018, so every single public figure is declaring their political allegiance — no matter what the cost.
Willie Nelson, 85, appeared on The View to promote his new album, a tribute to Frank Sinatra titled, ‘My Way’.
The first question was from Joy Behar, and — surprise, surprise — it was political. Behar asked about the backlash Nelson is receiving from fans about his very public support for Beto O’Rourke, the Democrat challenging Sen. Ted Cruz for his Senate seat.
Nelson confirmed what we’ve all been thinking was the case all these years — he supports Democratic candidates.
NELSON: I’ve been supporting Democrats all my life. I haven’t hidden it that much.”
BEHAR: Are you getting a lot of flack, and how are you dealing with it?
NELSON: I love flack! We’re not happy ’til they’re not happy. I think everyone has a right to their opinion, They’re entitled to their opinion, and I’m entitled to mine.
Well, that’s just lovely.
So much for the live and let live.
Nelson says he doesn’t care, and that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but he also essentially says that he’s willing to be antagonistic to those that disagree with him. How else do you take the ‘We’re not happy ’til they’re not happy’ line?

Are you surprised?
Let’s just say, you don’t smoke as much weed as Willie Nelson does and call yourself a Republican.
Does it matter to you if celebrities voice their support for a candidate that you don’t like, or does it turn you off of their work?
