WTF? Who Let Anti-Semite Al Sharpton ‘Honor’ Victims Of Synagogue Massacre?

Someone should have read Sharpton’s bio before inviting him to the Interfaith Rally after the recent Squirrel Hill Synagogue massacre.

He’s not exactly earned himself a ‘peacemaker’s reputation’ among the Jewish community. Quite the opposite. He played a role in inciting the August 1991 Crown Heights race riot.

One of the outcomes of those riots is explained below:

About three hours after the riots began, early on the morning of August 20, a group of approximately 20 young black men surrounded 29-year-old Australian Jew, Yankel Rosenbaum HY”D, a University of Melbourne student in the United States conducting research for his doctorate. They stabbed him several times in the back and beat him severely, fracturing his skull. Before being taken to the hospital, Rosenbaum was able to identify 16-year-old Lemrick Nelson, Jr. as his assailant in a line-up shown to him by the police.

The same Rev-uh-rund Al who took his turn to offer his thoughts about the massacre wasn’t always so magnanimous.

The Crown Heights riot was an attack on the Jews by the neighborhood’s Caribbean community, fueled in large part by Al Sharpton, the “Reverend” who does not believe in the commandment about “bearing false witness.”

Sharpton called Jews “diamond merchants” during the aftermath of the Crown Heights riots, which took place in Brooklyn in 1991. Sharpton, who led protests that led to the riots, said at the time “If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house.”

Three days after the riot, Sharpton led a march where the Israeli flag was burned, and things got WAY out of control.

Riots escalated to the extent that a detachment of 200 police officers was overwhelmed and had to retreat for their safety. On August 22, over 1,800 police officers, including mounted and motorcycle units, had been dispatched to stop the attacks on people and property.

This is the “reverend” who is now preaching “peace and love” and is called upon to remember the 11 Jews gunned down while in their Synagogue on a Shabbos morning.

Considering several members of law enforcement are among the dead being honored makes Sharpton an even more dubious choice of speaker.

In 1992, he was in a video talking to his audience about ‘offing pigs‘ (yes, the police). This is only one year after the riots.

But Sharpton is invited to an interfaith event while the Media — including the network he is a talking head for — complains about superheated political rhetoric?

Whoever invited him to this event dropped the ball… bigly.
