What, had the ratings not dropped enough already that the cheerleaders are now in on it, too?
Help me out here. What is the role of a cheerleader on a sports team?
Isn’t it to engage the crowd, and get them excited about the game?
Does poking some of your audience in the eye with a sharpened stick get them MORE excited about cheering their team on, or LESS excited?
Because that’s basically what’s going on here.

Taking a knee like that isn’t helping any with the stereotypes about cheerleaders and athletes. (The ones about their intelligence, anyway.)
