Scam Alert: Most Money Raised By Sarsour To ‘Help’ Synagogue Victims Went To A Sketchy Islamic Center
If you are giving money to the victims of a shooting, should you expect it to prop up some other cause across town, let alone THIS one?
Be sure to read the fine print on any ‘compassionate’ fundraisers on the Left.
First, Avenatti tried to cash in on Democrat candidate Beto’s fundraising power with half of it to be diverted into his the Creepy Porn Lawyer’s own 2020 campaign. (How ‘charitable’ of him.)
Similarly, Linda Sarsour helped with raising money after the horrific murders in the Tree Of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.
It was a bad scene. Eleven people died, and others were badly hurt, including some cops.
Organizing a fundraiser to help people of another religious background seems like a nice gesture, right? Even more so considering the historical tension between Muslims and Jews. Linda Sarsour, a Muslim, looked to be doing the right thing.
It turns out that most of the money she raised to help the Jewish victims at the Tree of Life was actually kept by someone else.
It was kept by an Islamic Center across town. One that the Clarion Project raised some red flags over:
The Islamic Center of Pittsburgh says its “mission is to shape the American-Muslim identity by educating, empowering, and uniting our dynamic and diverse community.”[1] The ICP’s bylaws state that it is officially affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), labeled as a Muslim Brotherhood front by the FBI. Its real estate is also entrusted to ISNA. The mosque is prohibited from violating ISNA’s standards and the President of ISNA has the right to dissolve ICP’s Board of Directors.

Matt Vespa reports on the scandal via Townhall:
It centers on anti-Semite Linda Sarsour. The anti-Israel activist seems to have been exposed for cheating the Tree of Life synagogue from money fundraised after the tragic shooting.
Correction: ~$160K was raised as part of one general cemeteries campaign that pre-dates the TOL massacre and ~$240K was raised as part of the TOL campaign after the massacre. The $10K was from the first campaign.
I was wrong about the 10%, still troubling.

Jordan issued an update via Twitter. The Islamic Center *says* it will be cutting a check for $155k and use the other $83k he was referencing for some unnamed projects that will foster solidarity etc between Muslims and Jews.
Jordan has good reason to be skeptical of that money ever finding its way to the real victims.

It’s because they’ve broken such promises before.

In ‘Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls’, Doug Giles reinforces the notion that little women don’t need to be pampered by their fathers to turn out right. And having met his beautiful daughters, I know his philosophy works. As a strong-willed woman who thinks her daddy is the greatest guy in the world, I can tell you this is a must-read for every man who hopes to earn the same title. —-S.E.
