Using racism as the all-encompassing excuse to edit history, The University of Notre Dame’s president announced the school will cover depictions of Christopher Columbus.
Rev. John Jenkins referred to it as a “complex topic.”
Let me simplify it for Rev. Jenkins.
Identity confusion is an effective component of thought reform. Editing history, in turn, is part of identity confusion. Our national identity is altered, diluted and, eventually, erased.
When our identities are blurred, our minds become malleable. Without an identity compass, any direction can be ‘true north.’
Identity confusion foisted upon us includes:
- Gender and gender role confusion
- Race confusion
- Nationality confusion
- Religion confusion
- Gender confusion
Cultural Marxism social engineers have convinced many that gender is a social construct. Men pretend to transform themselves into women through surgery. They may then join women’s sports leagues and participate in beauty pageants. Department stores have merged gender-specific toy aisles. Government schools encourage children to question their gender identities.
Gender role confusion
Women have been convinced that the traditional Western family is repressive. It is liberating to demonize men as ‘mansplaining, manspreading chauvinists’. Also stigmatized is the ‘1950’s housewife’ who is depicted as enslaved to domestic chores. “Barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen” is a popular mantra.
Race confusion
We are told that race is a social construct.
Denying forensic science that easily distinguishes racial characteristics, we have embraced the mantra that, “There is only one race, the human race.” True, humanity can be described as ‘the human race,’ but that does not erase myriads of biological markers that affirm races exist within the human race.
The notion that there is “only one race” is an abject lie that smacks of globalism.
Hypocritically, social engineers reverse themselves by condemning white people as culture-appropriating racists who enjoy white privilege and commit such grievous offenses as micro-aggressions and cultural appropriation.
Race is portrayed as a social construct when such portrayal serves to advance the cultural Marxism paradigm. If there are no races, there can be no racism; a simple abstract that is lost to the illogical dogma embraced by cultural Marxism. Then, again, if leftists were logical, there would be no leftists.
Nationality confusion
When our sense of national and cultural identity is compromised, we expose ourselves to psychological subversion.
Monuments are a record of our past. When those moments are removed or covered, our history is literally be erased. As we lose our sense of national identity, our minds become malleable and receptive to globalism as an alternate identity.
Taking a knee during The National Anthem becomes a reasonable reaction to our nation’s imagined racist history.
Racism is nearly always a reliable excuse to erase American history. Racism is always understood as white racism. Ignored are the incalculable contributions Western technology and values have contributed to humanity. Edward Jenner, for example, discovered the small pox vaccine. In so doing he save the lives of countless millions. Multiply the benefits of this lone white Englishman’s discovery times the myriad of other life-enhancing discoveries by white innovations and technologies.
Unfortunately, the laser focus is solely on exaggerated offenses committed by whites against non-whites (never vice versa).
Religion confusion
America was founded by God-fearing, whisky drinking, Bible-thumping church people. While one needs be neither a Christian nor whisky drinker to qualify as a patriot, we do need to acknowledge that our culture remains significantly influenced by Christian philosophy and that, for the most part, translates to humanitarianism, liberty, freedom, self-determination, individualism, prosperity, and genuine justice. To erase our religious heritage, social engineers seeks to erase our Christian identity.
Efforts to erase Christian iconography from public places — such as crosses, nativity scenes, and the Ten Commandments — contribute to religious confusion.
In the 1960s Western nations rejected efforts by the Beatles to inject Eastern religions into our culture. However, the massive influx of Islam via immigration under the ruse of asylum weakens our national sense of self as a Christian-founded culture. Meanwhile, the erosion is exasperated as evangelical groups embrace fake feminism (think Beth Moore) or vocally embrace cultural compliance with cultural Marxism (recall Southern Baptists voting to demonize the once-cherished Confederate flag).
Raphael Lemkin, who coined the term “genocide” in the 1940s, explained:
Generally speaking, genocide does not necessarily mean the immediate destruction of a nation, except when accomplished by mass killings of all members of a nation. It is intended rather to signify a coordinated plan of different actions aiming at the destruction of essential foundations of the life of national groups, with the aim of annihilating the groups themselves. The objectives of such a plan would be the disintegration of the political and social institutions, of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence of national groups, and the destruction of the personal security, liberty, health, dignity, and even the lives of the individuals belonging to such groups.
