Suddenly, actor Jussie Smollet has more plot twists in real life than he does in his work life.
The Media(D) couldn’t possibly resist a ‘persecution’ story like this one, especially since it checked all the right boxes.
Sympathetic victim?
Check. He’s an actor, and therefore a semi-celebrity.
Part of a Vulnerable Minority?
Check and Check. He’s Black AND he’s openly Gay.
Does it play off of emotionally-charged hot-button national issues?
Check. It invoked references to Lynching. Tough to get more emotionally charged than that.
And the big one…
Who is the villain in this story?
This question is critical. Without a bad guy, this isn’t a story about oppression. And let’s be honest. These days, if it isn’t about oppression — is it really news?
The villain is actually a GROUP!
A group of group of… race-baiting… violent… violent men uttering homosexual slurs.
Jackpot! The only thing that could make this any better is if it were a TARGETED (not-random) attack that could somehow be laid at the feet of Trump. Wait, wasn’t there a MAGA element to this story, too?
Perfect. TOO perfect, actually. Seemed almost made-to-order.
It blew up our BS detectors. But Democrats swallowed it hook, line and sinker.

Turns out the journalistic instincts of the NEW Media sites like ClashDaily have yet again proven themselves to be a better judge of the available facts than the supposedly ‘reputable’ Media(D).
Piece by piece, Smollett’s story is completely unraveling.
The original two suspects? Exonerated.
Corroborating evidence? In a city surveilled as much as Chicago, there was no video evidence for the 60 seconds in which the events were said to have happened.
Phone records? Neither he nor his agent provided unredacted phone records to the police.
Video evidence shows he had a Subway sandwich in his hand AFTER he’d been attacked, thrown to the ground, kicked, ‘lynched’ and had bleach poured on him.
Police had already stated that if the story turns out to be anything less than authentic, charges will be filed.
