Question: Are You Following God’s Call Or Your Goofy Flesh?

If you’ve been told His Call is for picking Heaven over Hell or having yourself a comfy little life, you’re missing the big picture — by a MILE.

Why do so many churches lack a sense of … urgency and initiative?

Probably because they haven’t got a sweet clue what they’re supposed to be doing there.

Sure, they might get to have some second-rate coffee mingling with people who they either see week after week (in a smaller church) or they awkwardly try to remember if they’ve ever been introduced (in a larger church). They might have a sermon, some singing and some variation of bread and wine/juice.

But do they know WHY they are there? What is their calling?

Whatever happened to ‘Every Believer a Minister’ — the rallying cry of the Reformation?

Did we get too ‘fat and happy’? Deuteronomy 6:10-12 warned against that danger. If that’s you, Get Yo’ Butt Out Of Yo’ Rut and get with the program.

Those of us who have not called to be CLERGY are not a bunch of ‘second-tier plebes’ who defer to the greater wisdom of our clergy for all things theological.

Anyone who’s cracked the spine on their Bible, needn’t look very far to see that the ORDINARY people are supposed to be carrying the Word of God to a lost and dying world, not just the guy with ‘credentials’. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

Don’t think that universal call of the believer means you’ve got to quit your job in the law office, as shop foreman, or as a teacher, either.

Honest work is just as legitimate as being the guy in the pulpit. It is ALSO sanctified service to God and — let’s be real — it puts us in contact with people a preacher would NEVER meet.

That was the whole POINT of that ‘salt and light’ message Jesus gave in his original podcast series.

You DO know Jesus meant YOU — dontcha?

Rules For Radical Christians is not a survival devotional designed to help the young Christian adult limp through life. Rather, it is a road-tested, dominion blueprint that will equip the young adult with leadership skills and sufficient motivation to rise to a place of influence in an overtly non-Christian culture. Rules For Radical Christians gives the reader the keys to become strategically equipped to move into an anti-theistic environment and effectively influence it for the glory of God.
