They keep telling us that team MAGA is destroying civil discourse… but the video evidence keeps telling us that’s a lie.
As a father, I can’t imagine how I would react to someone weaponizing the accidental death of my kid by overdose for a wickedly cruel political jab… Bolling handled it far better than many.
A guy who appeared to be talking on a cell phone walked by our table and turned towards us and said, “Eric Bolling’s son killed himself because he was embarrassed by his dad.” It was a drive-by hit on me using the most hateful words a human being could deliver to a grieving father. I got up and followed this hateful moron out of the hotel. I started taping and here’s what happened next.

Stop for a moment and think about some of the stories involving MAGA hats and claims of hate.
Jussie Smollett, Vape Shop guy, Sam’s Club shoppers who had a gun shoved in their face, the guy who needed surgery after being attacked for wearing his hat in public and so on.
The Republicans are NOT the problem in these stories.
And yet, they shoulder the blame for a ‘climate of hate’.
Maybe we need to look at the PartisanPress and ask them some pointed questions about the kind of coverage we’re getting.
The Covington lawsuits are a good start, but depending on whether they’re willing to learn any serious lessons from that experience, it’s unlikely to move the needle.
