If songs that make Jesus sound more like a prom date than the Lord of Glory make you want to run screaming from the building, you’re not alone.

There was a time where men and women were both strongly represented in the church. Until one thing happened to chase them out and turn their masculine energies to other pursuits that wouldn’t be revolting to their God-given masculine inclinations.

We can trace this change to one dopey French abbot from the 12th Century. He changed church culture by adding an ‘erotic’ element to worship.

It’s a creepy trend that’s still around today…
