Evidence be damned, they just can’t let the hoax die.
As you might expect, the language here gets ‘spicy’. Be forewarned.
Democrats are convinced that Mueller left just enough weasel words in his document so that Congress could claim it’s up to them to tie up loose ends and push for impeachment.
Almost before Trump even had a chance to change the Oval office curtains, he got word that his Presidency would be continually dogged by a Special Council dragging on for years, undermining his credibility and function as President; that unfounded and cynical accusations would be eroding his hard-earned mandate and political capital even before he had a chance to spend it.
The fact that he absolutely understood what that would mean for his ability to govern effectively as President is summed up perfectly in his initial reaction to getting the news about the Muller appointment.
When then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions informed Trump of Mueller’s appointment in May 2017, the report said, Trump slumped back in his chair and said: “Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I’m fucked.”
Trump then asked Sessions, whom he had berated for months for recusing himself from the Russia probe: “How could you let this happen, Jeff?” and told Sessions he had let him down.
…“Everyone tells me if you get one of these independent counsels it ruins your presidency,” Trump said, according to the report. “It takes years and years and I won’t be able to do anything. This is the worst thing that ever happened to me.”
The agreed-upon talking points from everyone across the Left seem to be the presumption of guilt.
An innocent man, they ‘reason’, doesn’t say that when he’s under investigation.
I've always respected Sessions & still do, but Dems succeeded in first sidelining him & then paralyzing him w/ unwarranted concerns that doing his job would be some sort of obstruction. Dems have nothing on Barr so could call it straight-that's what Trump and this country needed.

Laura Ingram brought up an interesting objection by Andy McCarthy. He was disappointed that, in the Obstruction section, Mueller had upended the presumption of innocence.
But the same is true of most others on the Left these days, isn’t it?
