A DUDE Just Won GOLD Medals In FEMALE Weightlifting

Written by K. Walker on July 16, 2019

Is there such a thing as “women’s sport” anymore?

Over the weekend, 41-year old Laurel Hubbard, a biological male who identifies as female,  won three medals competing for New Zealand in weightlifting at the Samoa 2019 Pacific Games.

Prior to becoming Laurel, Gavin Hubbard competed for New Zealand as a male weightlifter.

The Washington Times reports that Hubbard “won two gold medals and a silver in the three heavyweight categories, for women weighing more than 87 kilograms, or 192 pounds, finishing first in the snatch-lift and combined categories and second in the clean-and-jerk.”

CaldronPool reports, “In second place was Samoa’s 18-year-old weightlifter Feagaiga Stowers, who won her nation’s second gold medal last year after Hubbard was forced to withdraw due to an elbow injury.”

Speaking of injury, it seems that Hubbard has been keeping a little secret, which is now out in the open. Back in October 2018, Hubbard’s car fishtailed and struck a car with an Australian couple in their 60s. The male driver, Gary Wells, spent two weeks in hospital and had to have major spinal surgery once he returned to Australia. Gary’s wife, Sue, suffered from broken ribs. Hubbard plead guilty to careless driving causing injury.

Hubbard’s lawyers worked to keep the Olympic hopeful’s name out of the news, and it worked… until now.

Stuff.co reports:

Hubbard, who is the daughter of cereal magnate Dick Hubbard, pleaded guilty in January this year and offered to pay the couple about $13,000 including $1000 for emotional harm.

The case could not be reported because Hubbard, represented by lawyer Fiona Guy Kidd QC, successfully applied for suppression orders at each of the five stages of the court process.

The High Court in Invercargill this week overturned the suppression orders after an appeal by Stuff.

At sentencing on February 4, Judge Bernadette Farnan discharged Hubbard without conviction noting she was a first offender, the low level nature of the accident, Hubbard’s remorse and the reparation payment. She disqualified her from driving for a month (the normal disqualification is six months) and ordered her to pay about $13,000 to the Australian couple.

In a rare move, the judge also suppressed Hubbard’s name until September 30, so Hubbard could train for qualifying events for the Olympics without the distress caused by social media comments responding to publicity about the charge.

After the temporary suppression, Hubbard’s lawyers sought to have the weightlifter’s name permanently suppressed, but they failed in that bid.

Sue Wells had some harsh words for the delicate treatment that Hubbard received from the courts. She said that no consideration was given to the hardship that the Wells family suffered — their son had to take time off of work and travel to New Zealand to care for them. It seems as though the judge was more concerned about Hubbard’s training than justice for the Wellses.

Sue Wells stated, “We’ll never leave the country again because of the trauma from this accident. Our son had to leave his work to look after us in Dunedin. We had to depend on friends and family for months.” She said of Hubbard, “She walked out like nothing had happened.” …

…”It was to protect her from hardship while she trained for the Olympics. What a load of crap. We couldn’t do anything for four months.”

Watch Laurel Hubbard ask critics to “treat people like me with respect.”

Watch as Mark Steyn discuss the advantages that transgender women have over biological women with a transgender scientist and athlete here:

Biological males competing against biological females has been a heated debate lately.

We’ve seen female Olympians weigh in and get targetted by the wokescolds. The ladies competing don’t take kindly to the shoehorning of male competitors into their sport either.

Some young ladies are concerned that their scholarship opportunities are being kneecapped by biological males dominating in women’s sport.

We’ve all seen the dishonest games the left have played with the power they’re entrusted with, they’re obviously unworthy of that trust.

It’s just a fact that biological men have an innate advantage over biological women.

As proved in this article where a rapper breaks several women’s records in his regular workout.

Allowing transgender women to compete in women’s sport is patently unfair and will mean the death of women’s sport.

But what about 2020? Could a moral person pull a lever for Trump with their integrity intact? Would Jesus himself vote for Trump? We’re glad you asked. There’s a brand new book that covers precisely that question:

“Would Jesus Vote For Trump?” by Doug Giles and Brandon Vallorani.

Would Jesus ever choose someone, with a less than stellar past, to be a leader? Would Jesus be cool with how Trump blasts CNN, The Left, and his feckless ‘compadres’ on The Right? What about Health Care? Would the Great Physician give Trump’s opposition to ObamaCare the ‘two thumbs up?’ Find out in this BEST-SELLER!
