Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY) has “evolved” on the illegal immigration crisis at the southern border at an unbelievably rapid pace.
But this has been lightning fast.
Let’s recap… maybe with a little game.
First, the crisis was manufactured.
Do people realize how insanely dangerous of an idea it is to support *this President* in fabricating a “national emergency” over immigrants, especially when Homeland Security officially assessed the threat level at the southern border “minimal?”

Then the crisis didn’t exist.
Gotta love how the same folks who tolerate+ acquiesce to building a medieval wall along the entire US southern border as a (non-evidence based) solution for a “crisis” that doesn’t exist are now suddenly concerned that pursuing a nat’l response to climate change is “unrealistic.”

Then, it was back to the talking point that the crisis was manufactured and the need for a border wall is based on racism, not evidence, she said.
But then suddenly, it wasn’t manufactured and there were “concentration camps” at the southern border. Dang! That happened fast! Weird then, since the Media(D) keeps using the 2014 Obama-era photo of “children in cages” to rail against President Trump’s “inhumane” treatment of illegal aliens.
These are concentration camps.
According to concentration camp experts, people begin to die due to overcrowding, neglect, and shortage of resources.

I guess that means that President Trump is “literally Hitler” — I’ve never heard that one before. According to the erudite AOC, we’re also heading straight towards fascism “without question.”
Well, that seems to be turning things up to 11, amirite?
Ummmm… is now a good time to mention that she voted against funding the detention centers, and cheered on the Wayfair workers that protested that the company that they work for was providing beds to children brought across the border illegally, or nah? I guess that means that AOC doesn’t care about the conditions that these “caged kids” are living in.
She did try to defend it, but you can’t have it both ways, hun.
Not one dime should go to DHS for building these camps as they detain children & families.
Congressional appropriations season is now. That means it’s 💰 time – we‘re voting to fund federal government programs.
We should not fund the caging of kids & families. Pretty simple.

So… how can you rail against the conditions if you haven’t even seen them, AOC?
But don’t worry! Just like Sen. Elizabeth “Fauxahontas” Warren (D-MA), AOC has got a plan for that.
Occasional-Cortex tweeted out her bold vision for fixing the border crisis that she denied existed just a little over 3 months ago.
Step 1: Hand over cash to countries that are prioritizing their economy over providing any aid to their own extremely poor citizens.
A thread of some of the policy approaches we should consider wrt immigration:
1. Foreign policy: Reinstate US humanitarian aid in the Northern Triangle, where people are fleeing. US should start acting like a real partner in Latin America,& increase visas where we intervene.

Step 2: Pass AOC’s Green New Deal (How convenient)
2. Climate change: There is broad consensus from military to activists that resource strains (droughts, famine, etc) & nat disasters are drivers of refugees.
People are fleeing places that were once livable &are no longer. It will get worse the longer we do nothing #GreenNewDeal

Step 3: Decriminalize illegal border crossing (ie. Open Borders)
3. Border policy: As @JulianCastro mentioned in the #DemDebate, it’s time to repeal Section 1325 & 1326, the statutes this admin is using to mindlessly throw people in cages.
We have to take these proceedings out of criminal code & into civil code. Torture accomplishes nothing.

Step 4: Government funding to “transition” to a sustainable economy — aka. SOCIALISM! (Did anyone see that coming?)
4. Econ: We need large-scale public investment to spur job creation for citizens&immigrants alike. Ideally that investment transitions us to a sustainable economy (climate & income-wise). We are overdue to rebuild American infra&it’s going to take ALL of us & immigrants to do it.

To be fair, this is Arizona CPB and AOC et al. visited the facilities in Texas.
But hey, let the numbskull that didn’t know what a garbage disposal was continue to demonize Customs and Border Patrol agents as “racists” when more than half of them are Hispanic.
Let’s see how that works out for her. She’s ticking off people in her own party. So much so, that she could be redistricted right out of a job come 2022.
Besides, she’s doing a fan-freaking-tastic job campaigning for President Trump’s reelection in 2020, amirite?
You can see it in her eyes, she’s got big plans for America. Big, psychotic plans.
Plans for putting a stake through the heart of industry, in the name of Democratic Socialism. Plans for dismantling ICE and letting illegals stream over our borders. Plans for outlawing cars, and our burgers. Because otherwise, the world will end in 12 years. And you’d better do it, or else, because she’ll tell ya “I’m The Boss!”
She’s not exactly ‘shelf stable’, but she IS an elected representative. She’s Alexandria Occasio-Cortez: The American Psycho!
