BET’s Founder Loves Trump And Just Dropped A TRUTH BOMB On Dems

Written by K. Walker on July 10, 2019

It looks like Kanye isn’t the only wealthy black man who likes President Trump.

According to Forbes, Robert Johnson, one of the co-founders of Black Entertainment Television (BET), is the first black billionaire and was historically a Democrat supporter. He even backed Hillary’s run in 2016, which isn’t a surprise since he’s been on friendly terms with the Clintons for more than 30 years.

However, much like Kanye West, Johnson says that black people shouldn’t be shoe-horned into one worldview and they should think for themselves. Maybe voting as a massive block for one party isn’t in their best interests.

Get ready for CNN’s Don Lemon, the Dumbest Man On Television™, to denounce Bob Johnson as a “token black” and say that because he’s rich he doesn’t represent black people. (Of course, that would also mean that Beyoncé, Oprah, or Barack Obama don’t represent black people either, so go ahead. I’ll wait.)

Johnson met with President-elect Trump during the transition period and was encouraged by the plans laid out by the administration.

Watch Johnson talk about the meeting and says that the interests of African Americans shouldn’t be tied to one party.

It seems that Johnson is pretty pleased with the way that the Trump administration has been implementing said policies.

Black Entertainment Television founder and longtime Democrat Robert Johnson said in an interview that aired Tuesday that the Democratic Party has become too liberal to defeat President Trump in 2020, unless major changes are made.

“The party in my opinion, for me personally, has moved too far to the left,” Johnson told CNBC’s Hadley Gamble…

…Johnson also told CNBC that he thinks tax cuts clearly helped stimulate the economy, whereas partisan politics have gone too far.

Well, if the Democrat primaries are any indicator, the candidates are so focussed on appealing to where they think their base is, that they’ve gone very far left.

To recap, during the debates, Democrat candidates supported:

  • Reparations for slavery (which was abolished over 150 years ago)
  • Decriminalize illegal immigration (ie. Open Borders)
  • Government-funded healthcare for all illegal aliens
  • Single-payer healthcare for everyone
  • Ending private health insurance
  • Government-funded college tuition
  • Forced busing to combat de facto segregation
  • Transgender rights as the new civil rights movement
  • Identity politics
  • Government-funded Abortion on demand, without apology, even for biological men
  • Tax hikes!
  • Increasing regulation on everything
  • The Green New Deal which calls for banning cows, banning cars, and retrofitting every building in America.

That’s pretty far left.

When asked which of the 842 Democratic contenders he supports, he said he wasn’t keen on how far left the Democratic party is going.

“I think at the end of the day, if a Democrat is going to beat Trump, then that person, he or she, will have to move to the center and you can’t wait too long to do that,” Johnson said. “The message of some of the programs that Democrats are pushing are not resonating with the majority of the American people.”

When asked about how the country is doing in general, Johnson said that things are chugging along pretty well.

“I think the economy is doing great, and it’s particularly reaching populations that heretofore had very bad problems in terms of jobs and employments and the opportunities that come with employment,” Johnson said. “African-American unemployment is at its lowest level…  I give the president a lot of credit for moving the economy in a positive direction that’s benefiting a large amount of Americans.”

Johnson did say that divisiveness is a problem, though.

“I think business people have more confidence in the way the economy is going,” Johnson said. “If business people are concerned about anything, it’s the clear, clear partisan politics that’s become very wicked and very mean.”

Johnson said he gives Trump an “A+” for the economy but added that divisive politics are “not helping America as a global nation.”

So, what happens if the “reliable” black voter base for the Democrats decides to abandon them in 2020?

We just might find out…

If you start to add up Trump’s accomplishments — economic, domestic freedoms, foreign policy and more — the question of whether he will be remembered as one of the truly great presidents is becoming less of a wry joke and more of a serious consideration.

That was the inspiration behind our own Big Dawg and resident artist Doug Giles’s latest Trump / MAGA themed piece in his collection.

What if — by the time he’s finished his eight years in office — he’s turned the ship around and he ranks in the rarified air of THIS crowd?

Sound crazy? Maybe but that’s what they said when he announced his candidacy for President, isn’t it? And nobody’s laughing about that anymore, are they?

Here’s the artist talking about his work in his own words:

Prints, for those interested, ARE available if you’d like one for yourself, or as the ‘perfect gift’ for that ‘woke’ aunt with the patchy mustache.

Giclée on canvas prints, of various sizes, both stretched and unstretched, are available.

• 11×14” giclée on canvas stretched print is $250.

• 11×14 ” giclée on canvas unstretched is $150.

• 11×14” poster print is $50.
