That awkward moment when you play that race card one time too many times and it backfires hilariously.
The Left’s little Agitator Of Choice (AOC) finally stepped in it. She has mistaken her social media following for real political power — and has made the mistake of trying to usurp leadership before she had amassed any real political clout to do so.
In an internal spat with grizzled political veteran Nancy Pelosi — who’s outlasted the rise and fall of many of her party’s hopefuls — Occasional-Cortez picked a fight she couldn’t win.
And when Pelosi slapped back at her, the formerly Tough girl from the Bronx (well, not the Bronx, exactly) turned turtle and cried like a ‘damsel in distress’.

Her Chief of Staff — the one accused of deliberately skirting finance law — went to Twitter and took potshots at other Democrats.

The ‘Blue Dog Democrats’ are co-chaired by Stephanie Murphy, a woman of Vietnamese descent, and have members that actually LIVED the experience of racial discrimination that AOC thinks persists today. Members like David Scott… an African-American whose own life mirrors the enormous cultural changes of America from the 40’s to today.
Then at age 11, David Scott was relocated to Scarsdale, New York where his parents found another job as live-in domestics for a wealthy family. However, this family allowed David to live with his parents in Scarsdale, marking the first period in his life that he actually lived day-to-day with his parents. David attended Fox Meadow School and Scarsdale Junior High School.
At age 13, David moved with his parents to Daytona Beach, Florida where they bought a home and his father started a garbage collection business. David worked with his father on the garbage truck; and worked his way through school as a busboy, waiter and dishwasher at hotels and restaurants along Daytona’s famous beach. Someone who actually LIVED through the 40s as a black man is ‘conspiring’ to somehow keep the black man ‘down’? Are you SURE that’s the card you want to play here?
Rep. Wm. Lacy Clay (D-Mo.) unloaded on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday for “using the race card” after Ocasio-Cortez accused Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) of being racially insensitive.
Clay, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, fumed at Ocasio-Cortez and the group of progressive lawmakers that includes Reps. Rashida Tlaib (Mich.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.) and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.).
“What a weak argument, because you can’t get your way and because you’re getting pushback you resort to using the race card? Unbelievable. That’s unbelievable to me,” Clay said. “I could care less. I could really care less. I agree with the Speaker. Four people, four votes out of 240 people, who cares.”

When your entire schtick is being toxically aggressive, baiting others into taking swings at you, and crying foul when they do, eventually the grownups in the room will grow tired of it.
That has been AOC’s schtick, and that’s what’s already happening within her own caucus. She’s wearing out her welcome because she’s so bloody arrogant.
After all, even in Blue States like NY, people are going to remember that it was the DEMOCRATS who chased all those Amazon jobs away… specifically ONE Democrat.
The same one who chirped ‘I’m the boss‘… ‘how about that’.
Did she happen to notice how ‘Beto’s meteoric rise to fame came brutally crashing down to earth again? Does she really believe the same couldn’t happen to her if her media supporters decide she’s yesterday’s news?
Tick tock, AOC. Those proverbial ‘fifteen minutes’ are flying by.
The political infighting has been heating up to open political civa in other ways, too:
The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is accusing Justice Democrats of working to unseat black lawmakers.
CBC members say the Justice Democrats, a political action committee associated with the left wing of the Democratic Party, is targeting black House representatives in primary elections, according to The Hill.
Justice Democrats is supporting primary opponents of eight term Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar and 10-term Missouri Democratic Rep. Lacy Clay — who is a member of the CBC. The Justice Democrats are also threatening to knock-off New York Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, who is the chairman of the Democratic caucus, a CBC member and potential successor to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
…“It just seems strange that the social Democrats seem to be targeting members of the Congressional Black Caucus, individuals who have stood and fought to make sure that African-Americans are included and part of this process,” CBC leader and New York Democratic Rep. Gregory Meeks told The Hill.
“I don’t know what that agenda is, but if they want to come after members of the Black Caucus, it’s two ways,” Meeks added.
Ironically, the two Democratic congresswoman most identified with the Justice Democrats, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, could also face challengers in their upcoming primaries. Minnesota Democrats reportedly want Omar gone and Ocasio-Cortez has spoken of a “serious” primary challenge. She defeated former New York Rep. Joe Crowley in a huge political upset.
