LMAO: Did Ilhan Omar Marry Her BROTHER? Trump Says He’s Not Sure — What Do YOU Think?

But of course, trying to paint Trump as a bad guy, the PartisanPress are telling a very DIFFERENT story.

Context is key.

Just like that entertaining White House ‘dustup’ where Seb Gorka put yappy dog Brain Karem back on his leash, there’s the story THEY tell, and the one you can see on the actual video. In the Gorka story, ‘journalists’ were the victims, and Gorka was a bully. Their accounting of the events were off by exactly 180 degrees. Hey CNN: Seb Gorka Made Your Guy Look Like A Braying Jackass — Is That News?

Press ‘reporter’ Jim Acosta used his vaunted freedoms to put forward an obvious (and easily debunked lie), even though he witnessed the events with his own two eyes.

Less than a week later, here’s another example of him getting caught in another lie.

Strange how all the refutable stories little Jimmy Acosta tells tend to speak ill of Trump. It’s almost like he’s a compulsively-lying partisan hack or something.

The claim is that Trump ‘dove right in’. Jimmy left out the part that he was asked a direct question about it… and explicitly said he ‘didn’t know’. Notice how Trump gestured for the questioner to speak more loudly.

This footage catches the question more clearly than some others have. The relevant question starts at about the 1:14 mark.

“Is your administration going to possibly look into immigration fraud being committed by Ilhan Omar possibly marrying her brother? Tax fraud?”

Did Trump ‘jump in’ as Acosta alleged? Or did he simply say he didn’t know the answer to that question? Here’s his response.

“There’s a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother. I know nothing about it. You’re asking me a question about it. I don’t know. But I’m sure that somebody would be looking at that.”

Trump said THAT? Oh, the horror!

Acosta didn’t even take a clue from the phrase ‘you’re asking me a question about it’.

By even acknowledging the reporter’s question, he’s done something horrible, somehow.

But is he right about a ‘lot of people talking about it?’ Yes.

Even on Acosta’s own timeline, dozens of people have put a screenshot pointing back to the story published by a newspaper that had ENDORSED Ilhan Omar. That paper said:

New investigative documents released by a state agency have given fresh life to lingering questions about the marital history of Rep. Ilhan Omar and whether she once married a man — possibly her own brother — to skirt immigration laws.

Omar has denied the allegations in the past, dismissing them as “baseless rumors” first raised in an online Somali politics forum and championed by conservative bloggers during her 2016 campaign for the Minnesota House. But she said little then or since about Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the former husband who swept into her life in 2009 before a 2011 separation.

The questions surfaced again this month in a state probe of campaign finance violations showing that Omar filed federal taxes in 2014 and 2015 with her current husband, Ahmed Hirsi, while she was still legally married to but separated from Elmi.

Although she has legally corrected the discrepancy, she has declined to say anything about how or why it happened.

(That last part explains the tax fraud part of the question.)

The Washington Examiner published a different angle on the same story with the headline:

Dozens of documents indicate Ilhan Omar lived with Ahmed Hirsi while claiming to be married to Ahmed Elmi It cites legal documents ranging from traffic violations, tax documents, business registrations, etcetera.

If there are documents, we could have a story. But it would take some actual sleuthing to sort out fact from fiction. And some actual INTEREST in finding out whether the claims are true or not. Even proving a compelling coincidence to be FALSE is still honest journalism — if done without bias.

But wait, there’s more!

There’s an awful lot of smoke there for any journalist to be so VERY dismissive about even the possibility of any corresponding fire.

It’s the kind of story that journalists would (historically) take an interest in. Unless there were some specifically partisan reason to want the story suppressed, that is.

Nah, that couldn’t be it, could it?

Acosta would be every bit as disinterested about this story if there were an (R) after her name… right?

Yeah. Sure he would. But do you know what’s funny? In trying to squash this story, he has brought more attention to it.

In response, Huckabee told viewers to share the screenshot of the StarTribune story far and wide. And because it’s being shared on timelines like Acosta’s, and because Acosta himself is talking about it, the Streisand Effect is kicking in.

Great job there, Jimmy. You may be an idiot, but you’re sometimes (unintentionally) a useful one.

What do our ClashDaily readers think about this story? Is there anything to it?

We’ve all seen the dishonest games the left have played with the power they’re entrusted with, they’re obviously unworthy of that trust.

But what about 2020? Could a moral person pull a lever for Trump with their integrity intact? Would Jesus himself vote for Trump? We’re glad you asked. There’s a brand new book that covers precisely that question:

“Would Jesus Vote For Trump?” by Doug Giles and Brandon Vallorani.

Would Jesus ever choose someone, with a less than stellar past, to be a leader? Would Jesus be cool with how Trump blasts CNN, The Left, and his feckless ‘compadres’ on The Right? What about Health Care? Would the Great Physician give Trump’s opposition to ObamaCare the ‘two thumbs up?’ Find out in this BEST-SELLER!
