2020 Hopefuls Show Their Deep Contempt For Law Enforcement By Repeating THIS Old Lie
Obama’s own DOJ disproves the claims they’re all making today.
It’s now five years ago that Michael Brown was shot dead. The phrase ‘hands up don’t shoot’ became the rallying cry of BLM. He became the poster boy of accusations of police brutality. His mother was an invited speaker at the DNC.
There was a Grand Jury, and evidence that exonerated the cop found, among other things that:
Wilson and other witnesses stated that Brown then reached into the SUV through the
open driver’s window and punched and grabbed Wilson. This is corroborated by bruising on
Wilson’s jaw and scratches on his neck, the presence of Brown’s DNA on Wilson’s collar, shirt,
and pants, and Wilson’s DNA on Brown’s palm. While there are other individuals who stated
that Wilson reached out of the SUV and grabbed Brown by the neck, prosecutors could not credit
their accounts because they were inconsistent with physical and forensic evidence, as detailed
throughout this report.Wilson told prosecutors and investigators that he responded to Brown reaching into the
SUV and punching him by withdrawing his gun because he could not access less lethal weapons
while seated inside the SUV. Brown then grabbed the weapon and struggled with Wilson to gain
control of it. Wilson fired, striking Brown in the hand. Autopsy results and bullet trajectory,
skin from Brown’s palm on the outside of the SUV door as well as Brown’s DNA on the inside
of the driver’s door corroborate Wilson’s account that during the struggle, Brown used his right
hand to grab and attempt to control Wilson’s gun. According to three autopsies, Brown
sustained a close range gunshot wound to the fleshy portion of his right hand at the base of his
right thumb. Soot from the muzzle of the gun found embedded in the tissue of this wound
coupled with indicia of thermal change from the heat of the muzzle indicate that Brown’s hand
was within inches of the muzzle of Wilson’s gun when it was fired. The location of the
recovered bullet in the side panel of the driver’s door, just above Wilson’s lap, also corroborates Wilson’s account of the struggle over the gun and when the gun was fired, as do witness accounts that Wilson fired at least one shot from inside the SUV.

But evidence be damned. Democrats are married to the narrative that built up around Michael Brown. A narrative that even the left’s beloved ‘fact-checker’ Politico said in a headline: ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ ranked one of biggest ‘Pinocchios’ of 2015
No matter, they’re so VERY committed to it that, five years later, the 2020 hopefuls are still beating that same ‘hands up don’t shoot’ drum.
It’s not even been a WEEK since these same police officers they are condemning as ‘racists’ ran to intervene in not ONE but TWO major shootings that redefined the national conversation.
They were more than happy to leverage that event for gun control reasons… but it did nothing to remind them of how VITAL our police services are to our daily lives.
5 years ago Michael Brown was murdered by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Michael was unarmed yet he was shot 6 times. I stand with activists and organizers who continue the fight for justice for Michael. We must confront systemic racism and police violence head on.

Five years ago, Michael Brown's life was taken in Ferguson. His death stirred the conscience of our nation and awakened a generation of activists. We must ensure justice rings out for all in America — regardless of skin color.

5 years ago, Michael Brown was killed by a police officer. His body lay on the street for hours before he was treated with humanity. I have been thinking all day about Mike and his family, and my prayers are with them.

Michael Brown’s murder forever changed Ferguson and America. His tragic death sparked a desperately needed conversation and a nationwide movement. We must fight for stronger accountability and racial equity in our justice system.

Five years ago, Michael Brown was shot dead by a police officer. In the years since, we’ve heard too many names, too many similar stories, to count. In each, we are reminded of an idea as urgent, and as ignored, today as it was when Michael was killed: Black Lives Matter.

Michael Brown should be alive today. Five years after his death, we must finally end police violence against people of color. pic.twitter.com/EWvLcdyla5

5 years ago, a Ferguson police officer killed Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager.
He shot him 6 times.
Nothing will bring Michael back, but we can't stop fighting the injustice done to his family and so many others—and until we do better, we're failing them.

Can't believe the lack of knowledge or the willingness to pander relating to law enforcement. Castro actually invoked Michael Brown. Thug, strong armed robber, attacked officer and went for gun. Then comes back to attack officer again. Who is responsible. #DemocraticDebate2020

ACLU is all-in on the pandering too:
Today we honor Michael Brown, who should still be alive today. The anniversary of Michael’s death at the hands of police is another reminder of how much work we have left to do to dismantle the racism enshrined in so many institutions, including policing. pic.twitter.com/NxQu2ZgEXe

But harsh reality gets in their way.
I don’t know which is worse: that she still believes this, or that she knows it’s false and says it anyway. And why is the officer’s race an issue? Not even the Obama Justice Dept. concluded there was a murder. https://t.co/Gtkj1nfvxE https://t.co/lVxHAtvRuj

What lesson do we take from this? Well, among other things, they had a choice between accepting the finding of the physical evidence or the cops-are-evil-racists narrative.
They chose the narrative over the evidence. And five years later, they are perpetuating the same lie, with ZERO regard for the American legal imperative of the presumption of innocence.
