Forget the fact that during the confirmation process of several of Trump’s appointments, Democrats tried to illegally disqualify nominees
The party that Booed God in their national convention, that tried to bankrupt Chick Fil A because their CEO is a devout Christian with traditional views on marriage, and who regularly disparaged Christians as backward-looking ‘bitter clingers’ or worse who were among the chief obstacles to their utopian dreams suddenly had an epiphany.
They have been the ‘true’ and glowing examples of Christianity all along. And they have their judge-y socialism to prove it.
Of course, they still don’t like ‘those’ kind of Christians. The ones who think that Christ called PEOPLE, not GOVERNMENTS to help the poor.
The ones that still actually believe God is thrice-HOLY and doesn’t give your favorite sins a ‘pass’ just because they’ve been popularized by culture.
The ones who think that the Creature-Creator distinction means HE gets to define what his word means, and we, little Christian, would be smart to fall into line with that, instead of trying to shoe-horn it into a convenient political box.
No, they like the ready-to-compromise ‘friendship with the world’ kind of Christians. The ones with the Coexist stickers on their car. The ones who are willing to compromise on this or that ‘old-fashioned’ key detail of faith so they can go along to get along.
Does anyone really think Jesus would be down with your baby-killing, freedom-destroying, hyper-racialized political party whose chief motivational forces are envy and an impulse to destroy or silence anyone who disagrees with them?
Democrats have already begun to eat their own by lobbing that ‘racist’ tag at their own leaders.
That blather might fool a few of the feeble and feckless in the flock of Christ, but good luck selling that nonsense here.
I literally (co-)wrote the book destroying the Left’s claims of having the moral high ground, showing reasons Jesus would pull the lever for Trump over anyone the left could serve up.
Go ahead, pick a topic. You’ll lose. It’s all right there in the book.
Think you have Republicans beat on the Environment? You lose.
Immigration? You lose.
Treatment of women? You lose again.
Issues of race or even LGBT? You guessed it, you’ll lose there, too. (And not even for the reasons you might think!)
If you think you’re so very tough that you can freely trash-talk Christians for the ‘sin’ of being politically right-of-center, let’s see you put your boasting to the test. Unless of course, you’re another case of the empty truck making the most noise.
Pick the time and place, and I’ll be happy to debate you on who really does hold that moral high ground.
