You know, hate to break up the Pharisee party by injecting the Word of God into it or anything, but does Jesus have to say about the situation?
Is he imporessed by the daddy-didn’t-love-me defense?
Is anyone other than the ghoul with murder on his mind to blame for the sort of mess we saw in El Paso or Dayton? No. Should anyone BUT the people who committed those acts pay the price? No.
And what about owning weapons in the first place? Is ‘Sweet Jesus’ the pacifist some make him out to be? We’ve got chapter and verse for that, too. He may have said ‘turn the other cheek’ but he said a few other things, too.
The answers here might suprise some of you.
