Who REALLY Understands Old Glory & The Anthem — These Hong Kong Protesters, Or the Kaepernick Clones?

In stark contrast to the kneeling-for-the-anthem cliche, we have the Hong Kong protesters who really ARE fighting to save their freedom from the control of a tyrant.

Hong Kong, because of a quirk of history remained a leased possession of the UK, while remaining ethnically Chines, for 100 years. Those who lived there enjoyed the full benefits of a representative democratic culture, including the rule of law, and rights of the accused.

With the land reverting to China in 1997, and an allegedly 50-year window where their citizens would retain their relative freedoms, Hong Kong residents have already seen the encroaching shadow of tyranny, and they are taking a stand.

Dan Crenshaw had this to say about the Hong Kong protesters waving OUR flag and singing OUR anthem.

Here is the video he’s citing:

Sure, they are struggling with the words, and yes, they are a little wobbly in their delivery.

But they are rock-freaking-solid on their understanding that OUR way of life — imperfect as it is — is based on the FREEDOM of an individual and RESTRICTIONS that restrain the totalitarian instincts of those wielding political power as ‘the State’.

Now compare that with all those Kaepernick clones who are absolutely certain that America is pretty nearly the worst place on earth.

Go live among some people who don’t take their freedoms for granted.

Go and meet some people that lived behind the Iron Curtain and fled here for a better life.

Go ahead and READ the Gulag Archipelago, or listen to the address its Nobel Prize-winning author gave to Harvard. (The warnings he gave that they refused to hear.)

If you’re getting a gold medal for some sport that nobody would have even known people were competing for unless there was some sort of buzz about the contempt you would be showing for the flag you are competing under, you are no hero, you are an opportunist.

You don’t see any of these ‘heroes’ refusing their medals, do you? Nah, they’re taking the shortcut to fame that their skill set would never get them.

Would you have even noticed that the Pan Am games were going on right now without that buzz of controversy? Unless you’re emotionally invested in one of the events, probably not.

These smug Americans play at being oppressed, and can ‘suffer’ in luxury.

But for the Protesters in Hong Kong? As far as they’re concerned, this really is a matter of life and death.

Maybe someone can forward this clip to a few famous freshmen Democrats to give them a proper perspective on how the world REALLY sees America.

(Spoiler Alert: it’s not with the arrogant cynicism that so often drips out of their own mouths.)

We’ve all seen the dishonest games the left have played with the power they’re entrusted with, they’re obviously unworthy of that trust.

But what about 2020? Could a moral person pull a lever for Trump with their integrity intact? Would Jesus himself vote for Trump? We’re glad you asked. There’s a brand new book that covers precisely that question:

“Would Jesus Vote For Trump?” by Doug Giles and Brandon Vallorani.

Would Jesus ever choose someone, with a less than stellar past, to be a leader? Would Jesus be cool with how Trump blasts CNN, The Left, and his feckless ‘compadres’ on The Right? What about Health Care? Would the Great Physician give Trump’s opposition to ObamaCare the ‘two thumbs up?’ Find out in this BEST-SELLER!
