Alyssa Milano posted a snarky tweet to attack a Texas State Representative defending the Second Amendment. Ted Cruz responds to her question in an EPIC thread.

Self-appointed know-it-all Alyssa Milano is weighing in on gun control.

Again.

This time asking how owning a gun is a “God-given right.”

Ted Cruz gives her an education in Scripture, History, and current events.

The former child-star turned leftist wokescold was attacking Texas State Rep. Matt Schaefer(R-Tyler) for his tweet defending the Second Amendment. She then said that his tweet revealed that he was “clearly owned by the gun lobby.”

She wrote, “Can someone cite which passage of the Bible God states it is a god-given right to own a gun? This guy is unbelievable and is clearly owned by the gun lobby. #NoRA“

Heaven forbid that people who actually use guns have an opinion on carrying a firearm for self-defense.

Some of us can’t afford to have armed bodyguards to accompany us to do our Second Amendmenting for us as we protest the NRA.

She says that she’s not a hypocrite, because her husband has two guns at home, but…

Milano asked an open question, so Sen. Ted Cruz(R-TX) decided to give her an answer and it was fan-freaking-tastic!

In 10 tweets, Sen. Cruz gives her a fairly thorough defense of the Second Amendment.

He begins, “An excellent Q, worth considering carefully w/o the snark of Twitter. It is of course not the right to a modern-day firearm that is God-give but rather the right to Life & the right to Liberty. Essential to that right to life is the right to DEFEND your life & your family.”

He then cites Exodus 22:2 and differentiates between self-defense and murder in the following verse.

He then explains why the right to bear arms is for protection of life and property, not for hunting or target shooting.

He then explains that a “good guy with a gun” can save many lives, and that is the fundamental purpose of gun ownership.
