The Scourge Of Mankind

The scourge of mankind.

This phrase has been applied to many things, and many people. Genghis Khan was the one most people think of when they hear that, in relation to rulers. He was known to slaughter entire towns after conquering them. He was not a Muslim, but one of his grandsons was. My research shows that he was the most awful of history’s killers. One could place him atop the heap, at over 200 million people killed. During his lifetime he created an empire that few, if any, have ever matched… but it was with a horrible cost.

Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler, Mao Tse Tung, and Pol Pot approach Khan’s willingness to sacrifice their people, along with any others that get in their way. To call them the scourge of mankind would not be far off the mark, for their time. Each century, it seems, produced a person that earned that “nickname”.

A scourge is not limited to being a person. There have been several medical scourges too. The Black Plague comes to mind and that was a couple of million just by itself. Then there was small pox, influenza, cholera, and outbreaks of these diseases across international borders, are properly defined as pandemic, especially smallpox, which throughout history, has killed between 300-500 million people in its 12,000 year existence. In modern times we still are plagued (pardon the pun) by things like Ebola, Zika, HIV/Aids, there was the Hong Kong flu, which took only 17 days before outbreaks of the virus were reported in Singapore and Vietnam, and within three months had spread to The Philippines, India, Australia, Europe, and the United States.

In its two-year spree, Asian Flu traveled from the Chinese province of Guizhou to Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United States. Estimates for the death toll of the Asian Flu vary depending on the source, but the World Health Organization places the final tally at approximately 2 million deaths, 69,800 of those in the US alone.

There’s a new scourge that’s been mentioned lately. Its chemical name is Glyphosate, but most people call it “Roundup”. Glyphosate is found in organic produce as often as in non-organic produce but at much lower levels. One cannot turn on a TV lately without seeing half-a-dozen law firms advertising that they, and they alone, are the only ones that know how to litigate on this subject. GMO(genetically modified organism) crops include corn sugar beets, alfalfa, tobacco, cotton, soy, beets alfalfa, and canola, are key components of processed food such as Oreo cookies, gold fish crackers, and cheerios are loaded with glyphosate. These are fed to children. Sugar (from beets) and high fructose corn syrup are contaminated with GMO. Peanuts and hummus are high in glyphosate. Between the lawyers fighting Roundup, and those securing huge checks, so they claim, for automobile crashes and injuries, It’s a wonder that the average person dares to leave the house in the mornings!

On a site run by (I suspect the Chinese government) “the Beijjinger”, several interesting points were made about religions. “All religions were created by man. All religions have “Sacred Scriptures” – written by man. All religions claim their god is the one true god. All religions have a great prophet who is no longer with us. No god has ever prevented any wars nor natural disasters. No sober group of people ever met any god. All religions want money from us. Religion has caused more wars and deaths than any other issue. All religions basically teach the same thing… don’t kill, steal, or cheat one another.” That last part is one that bothers me. All the other suggestions are things that I could go along with to one degree or another. There is one, which calls itself “the religion of peace” and THAT one is like no other one on earth. THAT one is, in my estimation and by a dictionary definition, a CULT. Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a cult as: “a religion regarded as unorthodox or spurious”. Spurious is even a better description, but you can look that up yourselves. The point being made here is that Islam, the largest cult on the face of the earth is not like any other faith that I know about. When Islam speaks of “peace” it is when all the world is Islamic and until such time, Islam considers itself at war with everyone not Muslim. You may be one of the most faithful to your religion, observing every nuance of it…but to Islam you are the enemy…an infidel.

Islam came about because of a man called Mohammed. He lived in the 600’s and was a warlord and also a pedophile, took great pleasure in literally slaughtering his enemies and in a short time made Islam a power in the area that we now call the Middle East. Many volumes have been written about him, his “messages” from on high, and the collection of those messages called the Qu’ran. If you are fortunate enough to be able to find a translation of it, without it being adulterated, you will discover a lot of contradictions in it. Here’s one…Islam despises gay people and throws them from the roof of high buildings to their deaths. However, they keep a “stable” of bachi boys, a boy without a beard. Thousands of prepubescent and adolescent boys are sold to wealthy and powerful Islamic men for entertainment and sexual abuse.
