FBI… Fink’s Battalion of Idiots?

As much as J. Edgar Hoover “played around” in his private life, and it was considerable, he nevertheless made the FBI one of, if not the most, feared US law enforcement agency.  Under his tenure they became the idol of men and boys, who dreamed of someday being an agent. There was no thought of NOT doing the best job possible and, for the most part, the FBI was without fault.

That does not seem to be the case today…and hasn’t been since Hoover left the top job.  In my not-so-humble opinion, since his departure the Bureau has had a succession of less-than-capable people running it, and it’s gotten progressively worse. James Comey, is probably the worst, but then there are others in that job now and we don’t know much about the Bureau’s daily operations. Under Hoover, and that was a long period of time, agents could be counted on to be true-blue, accurate in their reports, and pretty good marksmen with firearms. Not so much now.

Back in May of this year it was reported by Fox News that 9/11 FAMILY MEMBERS WANT FBI TO RELEASE NAMES OF THOSE WHO ALLEGEDLY HELPED AL QAEDA FROM INSIDE US.  Wait, you’re asking if this is a joke, right?  No, it’s not.  An attorney for the families says that despite repeated efforts, the Department of Justice has refused to release redacted portions of FBI transcripts that could allegedly implicate a Saudi government official.  Many Americans, and I’m one, have long held the belief that Saudi Arabia was in on the terrible events of September 11, 2001.  If the Department of Justice, under which the FBI operates, is deliberately holding back evidence, is that a crime?  If it isn’t a legal crime, it certainly should be, and it’s a moral crime in my book.  Under what sort of guise could this information be withheld from the families who suffered losses on that fateful day?  That once-revered agency has become a political pawn, and been used in a most disgraceful manner.

In August of 2018 it was “announced”(unofficially, of course that Saudi Arabia had “a hand in” the 9-11 events.  Now, every September as the anniversary nears,  the citizens of the United States will be bombarded with patriotic imagery, messages, and the oft-repeated slogan of “9/11, Never Forget.” Over the last several years, however, the attitude of ‘never forget’ has been slowly shifting to, “we know you lied to us.” This movement began to gain serious traction with the release of the 28-pages (that unofficial report)and then moved to thousands of victims suing Saudi Arabia for their role in the attack. Now, even FBI agents who worked on the investigation are coming forward to expose an alleged conspiracy between the CIA and Saudi Arabia.

“It is patently evident the [9/11] attacks did not need to happen and there has been no justice.” -FBI Agent Mark Rossini, and he said, “I am sad and depressed about it.”  The FBI agents who were tasked with investigating Osama bin Laden prior to 9/11 have come forward with damning accusations noting that the CIA deliberately blocked them from informing their headquarters about future Al-Qaeda plotters present in the United States in 2000 and again in the summer of 2001.  “It’s horrible. We still don’t know what happened,” said Ali Soufan, another lead FBI agent assigned to a counterterrorism unit who was also kept in the dark about the movement of the future 9/11 hijackers.     Richard Clarke, a White House counterterrorism adviser during the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, said that top CIA officials, including director George Tenet, had withheld crucial information from him about Al-Qaeda’s plotting and movements, including the arrival in the U.S. of future hijackers Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi.

“I believed, for the longest time, that this was one or two low-level desk officers who got this [information about Hazmi and Mihdhar] and didn’t realize the significance,” Clarke said. But “50 CIA officers knew this, and they included [Tenet and] all kinds of people who were regularly talking to me?”  According to Newsweek, Pat D’Amuro, an even more senior former FBI counterterrorism official, said, “There’s no doubt in my mind that [withholding the information] went up further in the agency” than those managers. “And why they didn’t send it over, to this day, I don’t know why.”  “Saudi intelligence has admitted that they knew who these two guys were,” Andrew Maloney, an attorney for families, told Newsweek. “They knew they were Al-Qaeda the day they arrived in Los Angeles. So any notion from the Saudi government saying, ‘Oh, we just help out all Saudis here’ is false. They knew. And the CIA knew.” — Newsweek

Let’s come back to this year, 2019.  Is America still America or only the latest Banana Republic in a world of hate gone insane?  “Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz said the Department of Justice’s discussions to employ the 25th Amendment to oust President Trump—if true—amounted to an attempted coup. (Fox News, Feb. 15, 2019)

Parting shot: The problem in all of this is that while the mainstream and social media knew and the Democrats knew, the people of the nation didn’t. In short, while some 63 million people who voted in Donald Trump were celebrating their victory, forces within the FBI and DoJ were already working on removing the president from office.
