Schiff’s ‘Fair’ Process Omits Exculpatory Evidence In Official Transcript Summaries

But we can absolutely trust him to be an impartial chairman, and ‘Shifty’ is just an unfair nickname, right? Yeah, not so much.

How wrong we would all be to think he’s just some ego-driven loser who wants to go down in history as the guy who took down Trump.

Adam Schiff has been making this show all about himself, and now there is a new example of his team giving the middle finger to due process.

The testimony in question was that of senior National Security Council official Tim Morrison.

First, the committee withheld the transcript since October 31, only releasing it after the first public hearings began last week. Morrison’s testimony was rumored to be very good for President Donald Trump’s defense — Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) had described Democrats in the room during the closed-door hearing as “sucking lemons” — and Republicans would have made good use of it, had they had the transcript available. But it was not provided.

In the interim, Democrats had sole possession of the document. Schiff does not allow copies of the transcripts to be released to Republicans, either in paper or electronic form. If they want to read transcripts, they must do so one by one, in the presence of a Democrat committee staffer. Not only is that rule humiliating, but it also allows Democrats to control the flow of information and to prepare their public arguments with no fear of timely Republican rebuttal.

Wouldn’t it have been nice for Republicans to have had access to these favorable transcripts to have been released so that Republicans would be allowed to base questions to the other ‘star’ witnesses upon this unclassified information that was known, but whose use was forbidden?

But that’s not the whole story. These favorable transcripts have some missing information from the Democrat-issued summary that was released to the press. How very convenient.

Schiff had gone fishing for something damning but came up empty. Worse, he came up with an explicit denial of the point he was trying to put in the witness’s mouth.

THE CHAIRMAN: Okay. I just wanted to follow up a bit on this.

One of the concerns, and there may be an overlap between the first two concerns you mentioned about the call, and if the call became public. First, you said you were concerned how it would play out in Washington’s polarized environment and, second, how a leak would affect bipartisan support for our Ukrainian partners.

Were those concerns related to the fact that the President asked his Ukrainian counterpart to look into on investigate the Bidens?

MR. MORRISON: No, not specifically.

THE CHAIRMAN: So you didn’t think that the President of the United States asking his counterpart to conduct an investigation into a potential opponent in the 2020 election might influence bipartisan support in Congress?

THE CHAIRMAN: And you weren’t concerned that the President bringing up one of his political opponents in the Presidential election and asking a favor with respect to the DNC server or 2016 theory, you weren’t concerned that those things would cause people to believe that the President was asking his counterpart to conduct an investigation that might influence his reelection campaign?

THE CHAIRMAN: That never occurred to you?

THE CHAIRMAN: Did you recognize during the — as you listened to the call that if Ukraine were to conduct these investigations, that it would inure to the President’s political interests?

Why didn’t that make it to their summary?

Because this isn’t an investigation, it is — to use one of Shifty’s favorite phrases — a smear campaign against Trump. And the media is happy to be complicit in the charade.

Schiff thinks that scoring points in the media is all it will take to trash Trump.

Has it never occurred to him that showing all the examples of him being duplicitous and shady along the way will turn the collective stomach of an American people who still believe in due process?

Especially when the REST of the story of deep-state government hacks working to undermine 2016 gets told once that Durham Report comes due?

Speaking of which, there’s another witness Schiff has been suppressing:

We’ve all seen the dishonest games the left have played with the power they’re entrusted with, they’re obviously unworthy of that trust.

But what about 2020? Could a moral person pull a lever for Trump with their integrity intact? Would Jesus himself vote for Trump? We’re glad you asked. There’s a brand new book that covers precisely that question:

“Would Jesus Vote For Trump?” by Doug Giles and Brandon Vallorani.

Would Jesus ever choose someone, with a less than stellar past, to be a leader? Would Jesus be cool with how Trump blasts CNN, The Left, and his feckless ‘compadres’ on The Right? What about Health Care? Would the Great Physician give Trump’s opposition to ObamaCare the ‘two thumbs up?’ Find out in this BEST-SELLER!
